  • Patent number: 7610315
Abstract: In general, a genre classification can be determined for a document, the genre classification including multiple terms and corresponding scores indicating confidence levels for the terms with respect to the document. A relevant node in a document control policy ontology can be identified in accordance with the genre classification, and a confidence level for applicability of the relevant node can be assessed based at least in part upon at least one of the scores. A parent node of the relevant node in the document control policy ontology can be selected to stand in for the relevant node if the assessed confidence level for applicability of the relevant node falls below a threshold. At least one document control policy can be recommended to govern access to the document based on the identified or selected relevant node in the document control policy ontology.

  • Publication number: 20080243820
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product provides for a semantic analyzer to produce and rank semantic terms to reflect their relationship to the theme and topics of a document. The text and the document can have no relationship to any pre-selected keywords before the semantic analyzer performs text extraction. The semantic analyzer extracts text from a document and performs semantic analysis on the extracted text. The semantic analyzer provides a plurality of ranked semantic terms as a result of the semantic analysis and associates semantic terms with the document as semantic keywords. The semantic terms define content to be presented with the document where the content is an advertisement, a link to a remote information resource or a second document.

  • Publication number: 20070238937
Abstract: A system and method for controlling a tilt table employs a physiological sensing module to sense the physiological status of a person lying on the tilt table and to generate at least one physiological signal. Also, the above-mentioned system and method employs a tilt table control module to receive the physiological signal mentioned above and the corresponding changed threshold of the physiological signal to compare the physiological status of the person and to generate an angle adjustment value. Whereby, the tilt table control module can perform an adjustment process to adjust the tilt table to a tilt angle according to the angle adjustment value.

  • Publication number: 20070134679
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for separating nanoparticles with a controlled number of active groups is disclosed. First, a plurality of nanoparticles are provided, wherein the surface of the nanoparticle comprises a plurality of first active groups. Next, a plurality of functional ligands are provided, wherein the functional ligand comprises at least one second active group and at least one third active group. Then, a binding process is performed to bind the nanoparticle with the functional ligand, wherein the first active group connects with the second active group. After the binding process, a separation process is performed to isolate a plurality of nanoparticles with a controlled number of the third active groups. The controlled number is integers from 0 to 10.

  • Publication number: 20060229534
Abstract: The present invention discloses system and method for measuring coefficient variance of resonance frequency of musculoskeletal system. In this regards, the system comprises a signal generation module, a signal retrieval module, and a signal analysis module. The purpose of the system is to measure resonance frequencies of a musculoskeletal system which implanted with an arthroplasty in order to form a statistical sampling space of resonance frequencies. Therefore a coefficient variance of the statistical sampling space of resonance frequencies can be derived. Consequently, the magnitude of this coefficient variance is used for determining whether the implated arthroplasty loose.

  • Patent number: 5737736
Abstract: The present invention provides a system that manages the storage of the definition and user information used by developers. This information defines and represents forms, reports, books documents, graphics documents and other resources available for use by a developer. The invention creates and manipulates this information for storage in a variety of ways (e.g. an Oracle V6/V7 database, or in native files). The invention is referred to as "resource object store" (ROS) and allows client `definition` information in the form of c'structure data to be directly mapped into a representation suitable for persistent and portable storage in either a native ROS file or in a database. By using the ROS API, clients and Tools can transparently access the tool definition data from either the database or native files.
