Abstract: An apparatus for transporting water is described. The apparatus includes a large number of identical units that contain fresh water, for example, and which float on the sea. The units are alternately controlled to rise and fall with a first tide and to remain at low tide during the next tide. This motion, along with valves to allow fresh water to flow in one direction only, provide a water transport system that operates using tidal power.

Abstract: In systems and methods of transporting data over an optical transport network, a first client signal and a second client signal are received at a network element of the optical transport network, each of the first client signal and the second client signal comprising a header and a data payload. An optical data unit is assembled comprising the first client signal and the second client signal in sequence, and the optical data unit is transmitted over the optical transport network. The first data payload and the second data payload may not be interleaved, and further, the first header and the second header may not be interleaved. The optical data unit can comprise the first client signal and the second client signal in a time sequence.

Abstract: A home networking architecture and a physical layer protocol is configured such that a communication device in the home can access a home network over any one of the available transmissions media, i.e. in-house telephone wiring or electrical wiring, or a wireless network. The proposed networking architecture utilizes a bridging concept of combining multiple LANs residing on the different physical mediums available in the home, or small office building, or any other situation where a network is desired but adding additional infrastructure is undesirable or not possible.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an object collector for collecting objects in a plurality of containers, which comprises a tank body, an inlet device, a guiding device, a receiving device, and a collecting device. The tank body has a top inlet opening. The inlet device comprises a swinging plate which is pivotally and rotatably mounted, above the top inlet opening, to the upper portion of the tank body by means of a mounting device. The container and the objects thereon, which are placed on the swinging plate, may fall down from the swung down swinging plate due to the weight of the container and the objects. The guiding device comprises at least two guide rails which are mounted and extended from one side of the upper portion of the tank body toward the opposing side of the lower portion of the tank body for guiding the falling down container to slide down and toss over.
