  • Patent number: 10257691
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that manages utilization of mobile subscriber identity information including enabling reuse of such information by a different communication device and/or re-authorizing use by a communication device that previously was authorized to utilize the information. The reassignment of mobile subscriber identity information can be based on detecting a registration that utilizes a bootstrap mobile subscriber identity information or a registration based on a mobile subscriber identity information that the network has designated not for use by the particular communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10243814
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing and using a deep packet inspection virtual function. A control system can detect a service request. The control system can analyze a policy to determine a function of a service to which the service request relates, a virtual machine that will host the function, and a deep packet inspection virtual function associated with the service. The control system can trigger loading of an image to the virtual machine and instantiation of the virtual machine. The image can include the function of the service and the deep packet inspection virtual function. The control system can validate the service and the deep packet inspection virtual function.

  • Patent number: 10200367
Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, obtaining programming data via an over-the-air programming message for use by a communication device, wherein the over-the-air programming message is obtained from, and encrypted by an over-the-air programming server. The over-the-air programming message is decrypted utilizing a first keyset obtained by a secure device processor processing the first keyset obtained from a remote management server via transmission by the over-the-air programming server, to generate a first-key decrypted over-the-air programming message. The decrypted over-the-air programming message is provided to a secure element to enable the secure element to further decrypt the first-key decrypted over-the-air programming message utilizing a second keyset, wherein the secure device processor does not have access to the second keyset. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190004848
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for service creation and management. A processor can detect an event relating to a service, and access a service creation database to identify a recipe associated with the service. The recipe can define a resource to be used to provide the service. The processor can access an inventory to determine if the resource is available, identify a service control to control the service, instruct an infrastructure control to allocate virtual machines to host components of the service, and issue instructions to the service control. The instructions can instruct the service control to load service functions to the virtual machines.

  • Publication number: 20180367996
Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, instructions which when executed cause a device processor to perform operations comprising sending a service request to a remote management server; receiving from the management server an authentication management function and an encryption key generator for execution by a secure element and an encryption engine for execution by a secure device processor, sending a request to establish a communication session with a remote device; and communicating with the remote device via a channel established using an application server. The secure element and the secure device processor authenticate each other using a mutual authentication keyset. The secure element, the secure device processor and the device processor each have a security level associated therewith; the security level associated with the secure device processor is intermediate between that of the secure element and that of the device processor. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180324736
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that receives a first notification indicating a first international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) is being registered. A communication device sends a first registration request that includes the first IMSI to a registration function. Further, an identity proxy function intercepts the first registration request and sends the first notification to the device. In addition, the system receives from a billing server a request for services for the communication device. Further, the system provides a first Over-the-Air (OTA) message to the communication device that includes a second IMSI that is provisioned onto the communication device. Also, the system sends a first registration message to the registration function. The registration function includes a registry. The first registration message includes first instructions to indicate to the registration function to add the second IMSI to the registry. Other embodiments are disclosed.
