  • Patent number: 4094510
Abstract: Game board apparatus to increase appreciation of traffic road signs comprising in combination a plurality of pieces at least one for each player of the game, that move along a game board having a playing surface upon which the playing pieces are supportable, with the game board having its periphery divided into a right lane and a left lane. The lanes extending about the board so as to provide two paths of travel for the playing pieces from the beginning to the end of each of the lanes, and each lane affording a continuous path for the purpose of continuity of play and a series of distinguishable zones. Traffic designations of alternative bearing indicia thereon representative of road signs along each of the lanes in a plurality of the zones, with first identifiable means being interspersed among the signs along each of the lanes in a plurality of the zones, and second identifiable means being interspersed among the signs and the first identifiable means in a plurality of the zones is provided.

  • Patent number: 4083563
Abstract: A game adapted to be held in the hands of a player for manipulation into specific positions, with the game comprising a body portion of a flexible material having an inner surface and an outer surface so as to be foldable between a flat plane and into a pair of panels, and each panel including oppositely disposed upper and lower ends and spaced apart sides intermediate the ends. The panels are flexibly connected to each other along the lower end and adapted to alter in configuration to the specific positions. A pair of flexible outer flaps are integrally formed with each of the panels on the outer surface with each outer flap being connected to the upper end and one of the sides, such that each outer flap has an inner end and a bottom end freely movable relative to its respective one of the panels so that the fingers of each hand of the player may be interposed between each of the panels and each of the flaps.

  • Patent number: 3951409
Abstract: A game in which players competitively throw or roll a ball against an inclined backboard so as to make the ball fall through a hoop on an adjacent inclined backboard. The game comprises a flat board which may also be used as a scoreboard, and two portable stands on each of which a horizontal hoop is mounted on a flat surface which is inclined to the vertical. The game may be played by separating the two stands so that their inclined faces and hoops face each other. Each player, in turn, attempts to throw or roll a ball against the inclined face of his opponent's stand so as to cause the ball to fall through the hoop mounted on his own stand. Alternately the two stands may be placed side-by-side, facing in the same direction, with the scoreboard placed between the two stands and resting on the inclined faces. In this latter form of the game, each player in turn attempts to throw or roll the ball against the scoreboard so as to cause the ball to fall through his own hoop.
