    Abstract: A method of protecting a foundation wall from termites in which a barrier of sand of granule sizes which bar the passage of termites is placed contiguous to the wall. An impermeable structural barrier is embedded in the sand with a projecting upper edge. A concrete cap is poured atop the sand the cover it and encapsulate the upper edge of the barrier.
