  • Patent number: 11305043
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for regulating and/or monitoring a heating device for heating a fluid, which has flowed in an in-flow section of a dialysis fluid circuit. The dialysis fluid circuit is part of a blood treatment apparatus, which comprises a container for receiving the fluid and a heating container for heating the fluid. The method encompasses the step of starting a heating process for heating the fluid in the heating container. The fluid is in fluid communication with the container when the filling level of the container reaches a pre-determined filling level value by means of direct or indirect flow from the inlet.

  • Patent number: 8821156
Abstract: An expansion screw for regulating teeth has two expansion-screw bodies, the spacing between which can be changed by means of a spindle, and has at least one guide pin which is aligned parallel to the spindle and engages in guide openings of the two expansion-screw bodies, the spindle having a first and a second threaded portion, each of which is connected to an expansion-screw body, and an actuating portion, with at least one point for application of a tool for rotating the spindle, and the expansion screw has a locking mechanism which interacts with the actuating portion in order to secure the spindle against unintended rotation. The locking mechanism has at least one locking element with a locking member which is disposed laterally alongside the actuating portion and subjects the actuating portion to an axial spring force when the spindle is rotated.

  • Publication number: 20120315594
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an orthodontic element with a ceramic main body, which has a base surface for fixing the element to a tooth. In order to develop the method in such a way that the main body can, on the one hand, be fastened to the tooth with a high adhesive force and, on the other hand, can easily be detached from the tooth at the end of an orthodontic treatment, it is proposed according to the invention that a laser beam is guided along the base surface in an impingement area, the base surface in the impingement area is superficially heated locally by means of the laser beam and microscopic particles are broken free from the base surface by means of crack development.

In order to develop the expansion screw such that it requires a smaller amount of installation space, it is proposed that the locking mechanism has at least one locking element with a locking member which is disposed laterally alongside the actuating portion and subjects the actuating portion to an axial spring force when the spindle is rotated.

  • Patent number: 7481651
Abstract: To create an orthodontic device with a base having a base surface for fixing the device to a tooth, and a slot for receiving an archwire, which is defined by a bottom surface and two side surfaces arranged on either side of the bottom surface and aligned in substantially parallel spaced relation to each other, and which extends in a substantially straight line through the base in the longitudinal direction of the base on a side thereof facing away from the base surface, and with a cover element for at least partially covering the open side of the slot facing the bottom surface, which is convertible and is easier to handle during the conversion, and which offers the wearer an increased degree of security, it is proposed that the side surfaces of the slot have a positively locking guide, which is aligned substantially parallel in relation to the longitudinal direction of the slot, and in which the cover element is slidably and detachably held on the base.

  • Patent number: 7125393
Abstract: A device for carrying fluids for a medical treatment device with two balancing chambers, each having two partial chambers. The filling times of the partial chambers are initially determined using a monitoring device, and then the filling times of the first partial chambers of the first and second balancing chambers, are compared to the filling times of the second partial chambers of the first and second balancing chambers, respectively, to detect leakage or an incomplete filling or discharging of the respective partial chambers.

  • Publication number: 20040040620
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for carrying fluids for a medical treatment device with two balancing chambers, with the balancing chambers each consisting of two partial chambers. According to the invention, the filling time of the partial chambers is initially determined by means of an analysis device, and then the filling time of the respective first partial chambers and of the first and second balancing chambers, and/or of the second partial chambers of the first and second balancing chambers are compared to each other.
