    Abstract: In a recording and/or reproducing apparatus comprising at least one magnetic head (29, 30), which is rotatable in a given direction of rotation (31), and at least one tape guide (16) for a magnetic tape (3), which guide is arranged near said head, said tape passes round at least a part of the circumferential surface of the tape guide and past the magnetic head, which rotates at a given level oblique tracks being scanned by means of said magnetic head in a given direction of movement (36) of the magnetic tape, which tracks are each time situated within a longitudinal half of the magnetic tape.
