  • Patent number: 9065733
Abstract: A system and method for registering a client device with a server device includes the server device having a display. The display displays a first identifier in response to entering a registration mode. A client device is in communication with the server device. The client device detects that the server device is in registration mode and communicates a second identifier to the client device. The server device compares the first identifier and the second identifier and, after comparing, registers the client device at the server device.

  • Patent number: 8521810
Abstract: A system and method for displaying graphics in a content distribution system includes a client device and a server device that communicates an allocate buffer command signal to the client device. The client device reserves an off-screen buffer having buffer identifier associated therewith and communicates a buffer response signal comprising the buffer identifier to the server device. The server device communicates a write command signal comprising graphics data and the buffer identifier to the client device. The client device stores the graphics data in an off-screen buffer in response to write command signal, transfers the graphics data from the off-screen buffer to an on-screen buffer and displays graphics corresponding to the graphics data on a display associated with the client device. A bit blit command may be used to transfer the graphics data from the off-screen buffer to the on-screen buffer.

  • Patent number: 8458758
Abstract: A system and method for controlling closed-captioning at a client device includes a client device and a server device that communicates content to the client device. The server device determines a content type corresponding to the content communicated from the server device to the client device, generates a closed-captioning disable signal and communicates the content type disable signal to the client device. The client device disables the closed-captioning in response to the closed-captioning disable signal.

  • Patent number: 8447840
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a user interface displayed at a client device includes a client device and a server device that communicates a first remote user interface from the server device to the client device. The client device displays the first remote user interface and communicates key signals to the server device. The server device communicates a first transfer control signal to the client device. The client device displays a client native interface and communicates a second transfer control signal to the server device. The server device communicates the second remote user interface to the client device. The client device displays a second remote user interface at the client device.
