Electronic content transmitted to end-user locations may be encoded such that it may only be accessed by an authorized user and/or on a specific electronic device at the user location. A graphical user interface may be utilized to allow a third-party to provide selection criteria for determining user locations to receive targeted content. Abstract: A system and method for identifying which signals provided by a head-end are accessible to CPE of a subscriber in an HFC network. The method includes obtaining a partial list of signals accessible to the CPE, and then applying heuristic rules on the partial list to generate a complete accessible signal list. Obtaining the partial list includes discovering signal information regarding a subset of the signals which are accessible to the CPE; using the discovered signal information to obtain a signal identification of a signal accessible to the CPE; and generating the partial list based on the obtained signal identification. Applying a heuristic rule includes using a bit mask within the obtained signal identification or a naming convention of the obtained signal identification to identify other associated signals. The partial list is then generated based on the obtained signal identification and the signal identifications of the other associated signals.

Abstract: A content distribution network includes a central content management system that acquires digital assets for distribution over the network to on-demand serving locations for on-demand delivery to customers. A digital asset includes a package of files. The files are processed prior to distribution from the central content management system to provide trick mode support. The content distribution network distributes the processed files from the central content management system to the serving locations. A method includes breaking up the digital asset at the central content management system into chunks, utilizing a pipelined distribution process between the central content management system and the serving locations for the digital asset chunks, and re-assembling the digital asset chunks at the serving locations.

The game apparatus comprises a game board having a representation of the earth and moon wherein a plurality of concentric orbits are positioned about the earth and one orbit is positioned about the moon. A plurality of movement paths are provided that connect the earth and its closest orbit, the earth orbits themselves and the moon and its orbit. Movement paths are utilized that connect the outer earth orbit to the moon orbit. The game also includes certain orbit escape spaces and orbit change spaces that allow players to move from one movement path to another. A chance device, instruction cards and player pieces are also provided.
