  • Patent number: 6021667
Abstract: An automated work station for testing hydraulic equipment having first hydraulic input and output ports comprising in combination a test cabinet and associated input keyboard and test data display means; a cabinet having associated second hydraulic input and output ports to be coupled to the first ports; circuitry within the cabinet and connected with the keyboard to control display of hydraulic parameters to be tested, the circuitry having inputs to be electrically connected with selectable groups of terminals corresponding to selected hydraulic equipment to be tested, and there being a characteristic control circuit for each hydraulic equipment to be tested, each characteristic control circuit being connectable with circuitry in the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4962786
Abstract: A hydraulic fuse monitors the quantity of hydraulic fluid passing through the fuse, and then blocks such flow when a selected quantity of fluid has passed through the fuse which includes: a body structure containing cavity structure; a primary piston in the cavity structure and movable endwise to control fluid flow through a first port; a sleeve, and a slider in the cavity structure, and in the path of fluid flow toward the primary piston; the sleeve and slider being coaxially relatively axially movable, and there being a regulator spring acting to urge the sleeve in one axial direction; and fluid flow control slots formed by the sleeve and slider to control flow both to the piston for controllably displacing same, and to the first port, and characterized in that as the forward flow rate through the fuse reaches a threshold, the piston begins its movement toward the port, and as the flow rate increases above the threshold, relative axial movement between the sleeve and slider acts to maintain nearly constant

  • Patent number: 4559865
Abstract: A device to provide for mechanical motion between a locking element in a hydraulic actuator to an external indication device, comprises:(a) a housing defining a first generally longitudinally extensive passage, and a lock element in longitudinal alignment with the first passage,(b) a lever located to pivot in that first passage, the lever having first extent projecting toward the lock element which constrains pivoting of the lever,(c) and structure mounting the lever for such pivoting and defining a fluid barrier, whereby fluid at one side of the barrier closest to said first passage and lock element is isolated from communication with second extent of the lever at the opposite side of the barrier, and whereby motion of the locking element relatively away from the housing relieves said constraint of lever pivoting.

  • Patent number: 4300664
Abstract: A mechanical locking device includes multiple components that must move before axial travel of a load exerting component becomes unblocked. Such elements include a main lock means that is radially movable to unblock said axial travel; axially movable holder means that blocks radial movement of the main lock means; radially movable trigger means that blocks axial movement of the holder means; and release structure blocking radial movement of the trigger means. At least one and preferably both of the main lock means and of the trigger means comprises multiple elements spaced apart about the device axis for independent radial movement, such elements typically being caged for such independent movement.
