Abstract: The invention is a Forms Integration Toolkit (FIT) application, which is a zero-footprint software toolset that allows users to create forms without the need for software development. The FIT consists of a two-module forms tool and a two-module wizard tool. The forms tool modules are the FIT Configuration Manager and the FIT viewer. The FIT Wizard modules are the Wizard Configuration Manager and the Wizard Viewer. Several unique features differentiate the FIT from other forms tools on the market including the ability to specify a form and mapping instructions for populating multiple targets, including databases and web-services, with information received through the form in a single submit event.

Abstract: A Data Integration Portlet (DIP) that runs inside of a portal that is already handling such tasks as user authentication, authorization, and navigation. The DIP includes a zero-footprint toolset that can connect to a database and return formatted data to the user, page by page, with various controls such as records per page, filtering, sorting, exporting, paging, and more, without extensive custom code. The DIP eliminates the need for software development of XML documents and stylesheets, custom built portlets, servlets, and applications to perform this task; and enables portal administrators to deploy rich data visualization applications in minutes by filling in two forms in a browser, a Connection form, and a Configuration form, then adding a viewer to the portal and specifying the Configuration from which it should retrieve its parameters.

Abstract: A method and system for entering numerical information in a manner that can be easily used by visually impaired individuals are disclosed. Using a touch screen display, for each digit of a multidigit number a first location on the screen is touched a number of times equal to the digit followed by touching a second location. Once all the digits have been entered, a third location is touched. This method allows for dividing the touch screen display into a small number of large area touch active regions, such as quadrants, thus reducing the accuracy required to enter a value since the large area quadrants are easily referenced to the screen boundaries. Further, audible cues are used to prompt the user as well as provide feedback.
