Abstract: An adjustable golf practice tee is presented. The adjustable golf practice tee is used at a driving range for practicing a wide variety of golf shots. The adjustable golf practice tee includes a base portion and a base portion extension which has a tee pivotally attached thereto. The adjustable golf practice tee is adjustable in height, such that the user can select a personal preference for the height of the shot being practiced. Additionally, since the adjustable golf practice tee incorporates a tee which closely resembles a regulation golf tee used during a round of golf, the look and feel experienced by the user when using the adjustable golf practice tee is more like the actual shots the user will be employing during a round of golf.

Abstract: A humidor for more than one tobacco product, such as a cigar, includes a storage portion defining a tobacco storage area for storing the cigars end-to-end and a sealing portion for sealing the cigars within the storage portion. The sealing portion can include a liquid reservoir for moistening a wick to keep the cigars moist. The humidor can be configured as a golf club, wherein the shaft of the club corresponds to the storage portion and the head of the club corresponds to the sealing portion.

Abstract: A disposable coffee-brewing apparatus comprising a collapsible and expandable housing for supporting a filter element containing ground coffee. In its collapsed configuration the housing forms a flat parcel which can be provided with detachable sealing tabs or can be packaged in a separately sealed envelope. In its expanded configuration, the housing forms a generally tubular structure for placement around a drinking cup or other receptacle such that the coffee-brewing apparatus surrounds or substantially surrounds the receptacle and is situated on the same surface which supports the drinking receptacle. The expanded housing supports a filter element directly over the drinking receptacle such that hot water can be poured into the filter element, passing through coffee grounds therein and into the receptacle below to create a cup of fresh brewed coffee. After dispensing the coffee beverage, the housing can be collapsed once again and the coffee-brewing apparatus discarded.

Abstract: There is disclosed an ablatible drill comprising a soft or frangible matrix having embedded therein a multiplicity of hard inclusions which act as cutting teeth. During drilling, the matrix gradually wears away so that worn inclusions are circulated out of the hole and fresh inclusions are exposed as new cutting teeth. A plurality of joints of the ablatible drill are interconnected on the bottom of a drill string. The comminuted material of each joint of the ablatible drill provides a characteristic distinguishable from the comminuted material of adjacent joints so that in examination of the circulated returns provides an indication of which joint is then being drilled.

Abstract: Apparatus for scanning the interior of pipelines. The apparatus comprises a pig having an elongated body, a bogie assembly adapted to maintain the body in the center of a pipeline, and a seal assembly extending radially from the body and adapted so that the pig may be propelled by fluid flow through a pipeline. The pig further includes an on-board power supply coupled to the bogie assembly to provide and store electrical power for the pig. In addition, the pig includes an odometer, sensor and recording device powered by the power supply. The odometer is coupled to the bogie assembly and provides a motion signal representative of motion of the pig through a pipeline. The sensor includes a scanning ultrasonic surface wave exciter/transponder which generates a data signal representative of the interior condition of the pipeline. The recording device records the motion and data signals for subsequent analysis.
