  • Patent number: 11048823
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method of obtaining data in a system in which share volumes of the data are dispersed across a communication network. A first computer requesting the data forwards the request to a second computer. The second computer determines if another computer has reassembled the data, and if so, responds to the first computer that the request cannot be granted. Otherwise, the second computer enables the first computer to access personal information associated only with a user of the first computer that authorizes the user to access the data. The personal information is used to determine reassembly information necessary to reassemble the data. The reassembly information is used to reassemble the data. The personal information may then be destroyed. The reassembled data is dispersed across the communication network. New personal information is created for the user.

  • Patent number: 9594580
Abstract: A system and method for securely obfuscating, storing, and transmitting digital information includes a computing device configured to parse at least a portion of one or more bit streams to form a plurality of first datasets. The computing device is configured to disperse the plurality of first datasets into multiple data blocks to form t volumes as part of a plurality of second bit streams such that m number of volumes contain a complete data set, wherein m<t. The computing device is also configured to output the t volumes to a plurality of local or distributed storage locations, such that no complete dataset is stored at a single storage location.

  • Patent number: 6555661
Abstract: High purity protein A is recovered from protein A preparations by passing a protein A preparation over an ion exchange column so that protein A will bind to a cation exchange resin. The loaded column is washed with a wash buffer solution having about the same pH as the protein A preparation and an increased mineral salt concentration to elute certain impurities but not the protein A. The protein A is eluted from the washed column by eluting the column with an elution buffer solution having a pH higher than the wash buffer solution and mineral salt concentration substantially no higher than the wash buffer solution. The protein A can be easily recovered from protein A preparations that do not use any human or animal components. The protein A purified by the invention is suitable for all common uses of protein A, but is especially well-suited for human therapeutic applications.

  • Publication number: 20030073580
Abstract: The instant invention relates to a composition of solution stable Ca++, Mg++, N3−, and S6+ moieties and a method of varying the quantitative proportions of at least the solution stable Ca++ and Mg++ moieties in the composition. In its more complex expression, the invention provides a composition that includes compensating proportions of substantially any of the essential micronutrients or macronutrients in a solution stable form. In a first preferred embodiment, the invention has utility as a soil treatment composition. In a second preferred embodiment, the invention has utility as a cell culture medium. The invention further contemplates the recovery of a substantially pure CO2 product formed by the reaction process that produces the instant composition.

  • Patent number: 5143536
Abstract: A rooting composition is set forth comprising a water swellable gel containing auxin in an amount effective to stimulate root growth, the gel comprising a high molecular weight organic acid, ketone or ester or combinations thereof. Root formation of a cutting is stimulated by planting the cutting in the soil with the aformentioned rooting composition adhered to the portion of the cutting proximal where it was cut from a living plant. The auxins are maintained close to the cutting whereby they are highly effective and the gel serves as an artificial root to bring water and nutrients to the cutting as it develops its own root system.
