Abstract: A method of determining the total fibrinolytic activity in plasma, is characterized in thata) a quantity of fibrin sufficient to produce turbidity is added to a dilute platelet poor plasma sample or is produced in situ and the time dependent change in turbidity or the time-dependent formation of fibrin cleavage products is measured; orb) a chromogenic plasmin substrate and a quantity of fibrin, fibrinogen cleavage products or an enzyme which produces fibrin in situ, insufficient to produce turbidity, is added to a dilute platelet poor plasma sample and the time dependent color formation is measured.

Abstract: A shaft coupling working on the principle of an Oldham's coupling in which rotary members are connected by pairs of guide links (20,26). Additional guide links (28,38), displaced at an angle of 90.degree. to one another, are provided between the first rotary member (14) and the intermediate member (16) and between the intermediate member (16) and the second rotary member (18). The pivotal axes of the additional guide links extend in a crossed direction to the rotational axis of these members. These additional guide links provide resistance against axial forces in the coupling but do permit the coupling to operate with radial misalignment of the input and output shaft.

Abstract: This invention relates to a compound of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy; and R.sub.3 is a C.sub.7 -C.sub.9 aralkyl, the phenyl nucleus of which can be mono-, di-, or trisubstituted by halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, and nontoxic, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Abstract: This invention is directed to novel benzoxazin-2-ones of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is a sulfur atom or an SO, SO.sub.2, R--N.dbd.S, or R--N.dbd.SO.sub.2 group where R is a hydrogen atom or an acyl group;D is an alkylene group;R.sub.1 is an alkyl, phenylalkyl, cycloalkyl, or phenyl group;R.sub.4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group;R.sub.5 is a hydrogen or halogen atom or a nitro or alkyl group; andR.sub.6 is a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl group,having valuable pharmacological properties, particularly an antithrombotic activity. The compounds of Formula I may be prepared by the methods used for analogous compounds.

Abstract: In a coupling operating on the principle of the Oldham coupling, parallel drives are disposed orthogonally relative to one another and include pairs of guide rods. In order to reduce the axial measurements of such a coupling, the guide rods are disposed in recesses located in the intermediate member. This permits the guide rods to be located, according to one embodiment of the invention, in a single plane.
