Abstract: A therapeutic device for application to a user's body in order to effect transcutaneous nerve and/or muscle stimulation, includes a conductive flexible member having a top side and a bottom side, a first electrode disposed in the member and connectable with external electrical apparatus for establishing a current distribution through the member and into the user's body, a second electrode disposed in the member and connectable with external electrical apparatus for establishing an electric field within the member in order control the current distribution through the member and into the user's body; and a conductive adhesive disposed on the conductive member bottom side for adhering the device to a the user's body.

Abstract: A method of treating dentin sensitivity in a patient includes applying oxidizing gas onto the dentin, monitoring the dentine sensitivity and in response to the monitoring, seizing application of the oxidizing gas. Apparatus for treating dentin sensitivity includes a source of oxidizing gas, a handpiece for delivering the gas to a tooth with dentin sensitivity, a cup attached to the handpiece for receiving the gas and exposing a selected area of the tooth to the gas and means for eliciting a response from the patient in re of the dentin sensitivity.

Abstract: An electrode providing electrical contact with a patient's skin includes a conductive member adapted for connection to an external electrical apparatus, and a multilayer system for providing electrical interface between the patient's skin and the conductive member. The multilayer system includes a first layer of an electrically conductive gel having a relatively low peel strength, for removably contacting the patient's skin, and a second layer of an electrically conductive gel having a relatively high peel strength, for contacting said conductive member. The first and second layers are laminated with a sponge third layer therebetween.
