  • Patent number: 5265949
Abstract: The track is equipped with a plurality of bands, which extend parallel to one another in the direction of motion and which are interconnected by a large number of steel crosspieces in the transverse direction. The crosspieces have a U-shaped cross-section and are equipped with a U-shaped yoke composed of two U-legs and of a connection web extending therebetween. The first U-leg has a connecting leg as an extension, said connecting leg extending inwards via a bend and being followed, after an additional bend, by a sword, which extends approximately parallel to said U-legs.Offering the advantage of economy-priced production, said steel crosspiece is intended to show more advantageous resistance values. This is achieved on the basis of the features that the second U-leg is welded to the end of the first connecting leg via an inwardly bent, second connecting leg and that a house-like hollow space is thus formed in the interior of the U-shaped yoke.

  • Patent number: 5220965
Abstract: A vehicle for beach cleaning has a vehicle frame with at least one wheel axis disposed on it. Garbage is picked up from the beach by a vertically adjustable garbage pickup and delivered to a conveyor adjoining the garbage pickup and conveying the garbage taken to a collecting receptacle disposed at the rear end of the vehicle frame. A supply rotor is allocated to the pickup area of the garbage pickup. In order to improve the supply, the pickup and the transport of refuse and the separation of refuse and sand and the disposal of the pollutants, a swivel frame supporting the garbage pickup and the supply rotor is lowerably mounted on the vehicle frame for vertical adjustment, the supply rotor being mounted on the swivel frame pivotably across a swivel range comprising different operating conditions by means of links and being in particular counter-clockwise rotatable about an axis of rotation mounted on the links.

  • Patent number: 5197211
Abstract: The vehicle is intended as a self-propelled utility model for beach cleaning. It has a vehicle frame which comprises at least one front and rear axle. A garbage pickup is disposed therebetween. The vehicle is to be a multi-purpose vehicle. The vehicle frame equipped with wheels consequently has a centric, rectangular opening between the front and the rear axle. The garbage pickup is adjustably mounted in this opening, namely from an operating position in which it contacts the ground to a ready position in which it is lifted from the ground. Seen in the direction of driving, a collecting receptacle for the picked up garbage is located behind the garbage pickup.

  • Patent number: 4888891
Abstract: The invention relates to a track maintenance vehicle having a levelling attachment secured to a transverse carrier member at its rear. The levelling attachment faces downwards and is at least partially flexible. For achieving satisfactory levelling of relatively loose snow as well as of encrusted or compacted snow, the levelling attachment comprises a leading portion of triangular cross-sectional shape secured to the transverse carrier member along a first triangle side. The second triangle side of this portion is formed as a rigid compaction surface extending downwards and rearwards from the transverse carrier member. Connected to a rear portion of the compaction surface is a plate-shaped flexible portion extending substantially parallel to the second triangle side in the relaxed state, and in a substantially horizontal direction when under load.

  • Patent number: 4726129
Abstract: The invention relates to a snow tiller for mounting on the rear of a track maintenance vehicle. The snow tiller comprises a tiller shaft and a tiller frame of at least triangular cross-section extending over the width of the snow tiller and having end plates for supporting the tiller shaft bolted to its lateral ends.In order to facilitate the maintenance of the snow tiller, the lateral ends of the tiller frame are provided with bars secured thereto in a V-shaped configuration. Secured to each end plate at its side facing towards the tiller frame is a pair of undercut bars in a V-shaped configuration for overlapping engagement with the bars on the tiller frame in the mounted state of the end plates. The undercut bars cooperate with a fixing bolt engaging the tiller frame to form an interlock clamp mounting arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4718183
Abstract: The present invention relates to a snow tiller for rearmounting on a track maintenance vehicle. The snow tiller comprises a transmission for driving at least one tiller shaft, a carrier frame for mounting the snow tiller on the track maintenance vehicle, and a baffle body of trapezoidal cross-section extending over the width of the snow tiller. A levelling attachment is secured to the underside of the baffle body facing the track surface. With a view to facilitating repair and maintenance operations and replacement of wear components, the baffle body is formed as a tubular profile member forming a central tiller frame. The transmission is mounted at the center of the tiller frame and drives to tiller shafts laterally connected to the transmission. The ends of the tiller shafts facing away from the transmission are mounted in outer bearings secured to the ends of the tiller frame.

  • Patent number: 4560303
Abstract: An apparatus for forming cross country skiing tracks in a snow covered surface. The apparatus is adapted to be towed behind a vehicle and includes a trailer frame connected to the vehicle in a manner permitting the frame to pivot at least in the horizontal plane. A blade and a ski track device are carried by the frame. The blade is adapted to contact and recondition the snow covered surface, and the ski track device is adapted to form skiing tracks in the thus reconditioned snow covered surface. The blade and the ski track device are each fixed against pivotal movement relative to the frame in the horizontal plane. Thus, the trailer frame, the blade and the ski track device pivot in the horizontal plane as a unit relative to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4559725
Abstract: A rotary tiller for maintaining cross country ski trails has a rotary shaft with at least one array of radially extending first cutters flanked by laterally adjacent arrays of radially extending second cutters. The radial lengths of the first cutters are greater than the radial lengths of the second cutters. The first cutters are arranged to till a center ski track and the second cutters are arranged to till pole tracks on either side of the ski track, with the ski tracks having a tilled depth greater than that of the pole tracks.
