  • Publication number: 20060283842
Abstract: The switching device contains an encapsulating housing (1) filled with insulating gas. A grounding contact (14) and a disconnector contact (15) are held in stationary fashion in the interior of the housing (1). In addition, a moveable contact element (9), which can be displaced along an axis (8) and can be brought into or out of engagement with at least one of the two contacts (14, 15), is arranged in the housing interior. A drive (13), which is guided through the wall of the housing (1) and can have force applied to it from the outside, acts on the moveable contact element (9). This drive (13) has a retaining element (12), which can be displaced along the axis (8) and is guided radially in the conductor tube (11). The moveable contact element (9) comprises at least one of two contact tubes (9?, 9?), which can preferably be detachably connected to the retaining element (12).

  • Publication number: 20060283841
Abstract: The switchgear assembly has a polyphase design and has a gas-filled, modular encapsulation for each phase. Provided as the modules are at least one busbar (51, 52), which is guided predominantly horizontally, a circuit breaker (10) and two combined disconnecting-earthing switches (71, 72, 73) of identical design and having a disconnection and grounding function. A first one (71) of the combined disconnecting-earthing switches supports a section of the busbar (51) and is connected between the busbar (51) and a first current terminal (11) of the circuit breaker (10). The second combined disconnecting-earthing switch (73) is connected between an outgoing feeder (60) or a further busbar of the assembly and the second current terminal (12) of the circuit breaker (10). The combined disconnecting-earthing switches (71, 72, 73) are aligned such that two drive apparatuses (81, 82, 83), which are provided for their actuation, point in the same, predominantly horizontal direction.

  • Publication number: 20050189324
Abstract: The high-voltage switching device can be used in at least one installation position and has metallic encapsulation (10). It contains a switching gap (4) and a particle trap (1) for holding foreign body particles (2), and is characterized in that in the at least one installation position, the particle trap (1) is arranged vertically underneath the switching gap (4), and in that, in the at least one installation position, an isolator part (8) is provided, which has a surface (8a) that is aligned essentially horizontally and faces the interior of the high-voltage switching device, with a metallic wall (9), which is higher than the particle trap (1; 1?), being arranged between the isolator part (8) and the particle trap (1; 1?). The particle trap (1) preferably has a viewing window (3). If the high-voltage switching device is a disconnector, this viewing window (3) may be identical to the viewing window (3) for visual access to the visible disconnecting gap (4) of the disconnector.

  • Publication number: 20050190032
Abstract: The invention pertains to a current transformer (1?) for enclosed, gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear (10). According to the invention, a current transformer (1?) is characterized in that a removable installation flange (12, 12?) is provided on a fill opening (3c) of the core carrier (11) for one-piece current transformer cores (2). Among other things, embodiments pertain to: a removable installation flange (12, 12?) in the form of a two-part clamping flange (12) or in the form of a one-piece rotary flange (12?) that is screwed on the fill opening (3c) similar to a bayonet catch. Among other things, the attained advantages are: radially increased installation space for one-piece current transformer cores (2); reduced diameter (d) for one-piece current transformer cores (2) and reduced structural volume of the current transformer casing (11a).

  • Publication number: 20050189326
Abstract: The invention relates to an earthing switch (1?), in particular for gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear assemblies (15). According to the invention, a compact earthing switch (1?) is provided by a mounting lid (10) of the gas-insulated switchgear assembly (15) having a concave physical volume (100) which extends the gas chamber (9) and by the earthing switch fixed contact (12) being mounted on an inner side (10e) of the mounting lid (10) and being arranged at least partially in the physical volume (100) of the mounting lid (10). • Patent number: 6636134
Abstract: The switching point in a high- or medium-voltage switch contains two fixed contact members (1, 2), a rotating, electrically conductive bridging contact member (3), and a drive for moving the bridging contact member (3). When the switching point is closed, the bridging contact member (3) is fit in between the fixed contact members (1, 2) and short-circuits them. The drive is composed of two coils (5, 6) which surround the bridging contact member (3) and are arranged in such a manner that the bridging contact member (3) can be caused to rotate by a current in a respective one of the coils. The energy which needs to be applied to rotate the bridging contact member is less than for contact members which move in translation in comparable switching points. The energy required for opening and closing the switching point is thus reduced.

  • Patent number: 6535366
Abstract: The current-limiting switch (S) has an arc-resistant contact arrangement (K1), which is intended to carry the rated current (IN), of a first switching point (S1), and two commutation paths (P1 and P2) connected in parallel with the first switching point (S1). The first commutation path (P1) contains, in series, a contact arrangement (KT) of a second switching point (ST) and an electronic power switching apparatus (T). The second commutation path (P2) contains, in series, a switching apparatus (SA) and a current-limiting element (RB). The contact arrangements (K1 and KT) are designed to be coaxially symmetrical and are arranged in a pressure-resistant housing (G). Both switching points have electrodynamic drives which open and close very quickly. Thanks to the extremely space-saving, coaxial arrangement of the contact arrangements, undesirable stray inductances can be avoided. This allows the current-limiting switch to be switched on and off very quickly.

  • Patent number: 6501635
Abstract: The switching point in a high or medium voltage switch contains two stationary switch pieces which are of cylindrical design and led coaxially into one another, to form an annular gap. A movable bridge switch piece constructed in the form of a contact ring fits into the annular gap when the switching point is closed. An electrodynamic drive comprising two coils moves the contact ring in the axial direction. By virtue of the low mass of the contact ring, the single moving part of the switching point can be switched on and off very quickly and efficiently.
