    Abstract: A casing for a compact disk. The casing includes a housing and a cover made of fiber material, such as cellulose fibers. The housing includes a base that is at least as large as the diameter of the compact disk and a stand that is smaller than the diameter of the compact disk. The stand has a support surface for the disk and stops to engage the circumference of the disk. The cover includes a top wall, a front end wall and two side walls. A hinge engages the base to the cover. A tongue projects from the free end of the front end wall of the cover. A catch projects from the stand. Upon closing of the casing, the tongue engages the catch.
