Abstract: Apparatus for the preparation and dispensing of liquids which are used in developing machines for photosensitive material has a vessel with an upright partition over which a freshly formed mixture containing at least one liquid substance can overflow from a mixing chamber into a storage chamber. The latter has a bottom wall disposed at a level below the bottom wall of the mixing chamber and provided with an outlet which discharges mixture into a collecting container. A pump is provided to circulate the liquid substance along an endless path extending in part through the mixing chamber, and the partition has an opening slightly above or at the level of the bottom wall of the mixing chamber to permit direct flow of mixture between the two chambers when the mixture in the storage chamber reaches a certain level. The flow of mixture through the opening is controlled by a valve including a float.

Abstract: A supply arrangement for supplying several treatment liquids to a wet treatment device for photographic material provided with a plurality of treatment tanks having connection openings, the supply arrangement comprises a plurality of supply pipes each connectable with a respective one of the supply openings of the treatment tanks, a plurality of aspiration pumps each connected with a respective one of the supply pipes, a single electric motor which drives the aspiration pumps, and a plurality of aspiration conduits connected to the pumps and each extending outside so as to be each connectable to a respective one of a supply container for treatment liquid.

Abstract: A developing machine has a battery of vessels which receive metered quantities of liquid from discrete membrane-type pumping units. The pumping units constitute part of an apparatus having a single drive for the reciprocable membrane-deforming pumping elements of all units. The components of the drive for the pumping units as well as the pumping units themselves, are discrete modules which are rapidly connectable to or detachable from a single supporting frame. The drive has a rotary eccentric which transmits motion directly to the pumping elements of all pumping units. The strokes of the pumping elements are adjustable independently of each other.
