Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for enabling users to manage content provided by content providers, the content including user-desirable content and alternate content. A computer-implemented method for altering internet advertisements comprises providing a computer system to enable an internet fast pass associated with a user having an account balance, determining if the user's account balance on the internet fast pass is above a predetermined limit, determining if the user chooses to bypass the alternate content, and disabling one or more advertisements if the user's account balance is greater than or equal to the predetermined limit.
