  • Patent number: 11550110
Abstract: A method for overhead transmission line installation includes tension pulling a transmission line over a path between a first support structure having a first mounting location and a second support structure having a second mounting location extending from the first mounting location to a first transition location on the second support structure, to a second transition location on the first support structure, and to the second mounting location. The transmission line is mounted at the first mounting location and the second mounting location. The mounting provides a slack portion of the transmission line between the first mounting location and the second mounting location. A portion of the slack portion is mounted proximate to the first mounting location or the second mounting location to provide an overhead transmission line extending between the first mounting location and the second mounting location and a remainder of the slack portion.

  • Patent number: 11084686
Abstract: A cable storage device includes a first elongate bracket member attachable to a support structure and having a length extending between a first end and a second end. A second elongate bracket member is configured to be coupled to the first elongate bracket member proximate one of the first end or the second end such that the second elongate member extends in a different direction from the first elongate member when installed on the support structure. At least one set of a plurality of retaining mechanisms is configured to be coupled to the first and second elongate bracket members to receive and store a first cable. The at least one of the at least one set of the plurality of retaining mechanisms is adjustable along the first elongate bracket member or the second elongate bracket member. Methods of installing and making the cable storage device are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4258271
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for increasing the power output of an impeller which is mounted in a stream of free flowing fluid, such as water or air. A portion of the free flowing fluid is received by the impeller and some of the portion leaves the impeller and is caused re-enter the free stream at an angle of intersection of not less than 35.degree. but less than 75.degree.. When designed for operation under water, buoyancy chambers are sized and positioned to negate gravitational stresses and distortions when submerged to thereby reduce cost and improve performance.

  • Patent number: 4087207
Abstract: A method of achieving gas induced production of liquid from wells wherein the wells have a production tubing string extending to a production formation wherein such wells may have insufficient gas production for achieving continuous production of liquids from such wells. The method includes establishing a liquid accumulation chamber being located downstream of a gas accumulation chamber and being in communication with the tubing string, while the gas accumulation chamber is in communication with the production formation. Liquid from the production formation is produced by maintaining a condition of predetermined low flow of gas and liquid produced from the production formation. The method includes accumulating a predetermined quantity of liquid within the liquid accumulation chamber during the predetermined low flow condition, while simultaneously accumulating a quantity of gas within the gas accumulation chamber.

  • Patent number: 4047695
Abstract: A low pressure drop adjustable choke has a variably adjustable tapered annular port for metering flow of a fluid. The annular port is defined by a tapered plug extending through a mating, correspondingly tapered seat. The area of the port is selectively varied by axial movement of the plug relative to the seat. The device is mechanically adjustable to a selected flow rate, which may be indicated on a precision indicator.
