  • Patent number: 4645066
Abstract: A conveyor assembly having one of its conveyor rollers which is movable to change the angle of its axis to the conveyor direction for causing sideways movement of the conveyor belt. Movement of the roller is controlled by a linkage drivably connected to a ratchet nut riding on a threaded spindle to move one end of the roller sideways on a carriage. A linkage adjustment arrangement is provided to adjust the degree of driving engagement of the linkage with the ratchet nut.

  • Patent number: 4491206
Abstract: A braking device with two braking members for frictional engagement with a surface and a brake release linkage, a part of which is pivotable about two positions. A feature is provided to cause pivotal movement of the part in a first sense upon application of an initial brake release load upon the linkage part to reduce and then release the braking load applied by the first braking member. The application of an additional brake release load effects pivotal movement of the linkage part in a second sense to reduce and then release the braking load by the second braking member.

  • Patent number: 4375875
Abstract: Cradle for a twisting machine having a tensioning device with a brake disc coaxial with and rotatable with the reel shaft, while being axially immovable, and two opposed brake pads disposed on each side of the disc at one location. A brake actuator is controlled by movement of a tensioning pulley when material is fed from a reel under tension, to move the brake pads away from each other controllably so as to release the braking force in positive fashion.
