    Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydrogen peroxide solution for disinfecting contact lenses. The hydrogen peroxide solution contains an effective amount of a homopolymer or copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone to an increased residual hydrogen peroxide concentration when in the presence of a catalyst, thereby prolonging the effective life of the solution and providing greater comfort to the weather.
