    Abstract: Method and apparatus for electrophoretically coating a surface of an electrically conductive work piece having a selected linear dimension including the steps of: establishing the work piece at one electrical potential, flowing an electrophoretic coating in a linear stream corresponding to the linear dimension and in close proximity to the work piece surface, imparting an electrical charge to the electrophoretic coating, impinging the charged linear stream of electrophoretic coating onto the work piece surface and moving the work piece and charged linear stream relative to one another and in a direction lateral to the selected linear dimension, to electrophoretically coat the entirety of such work piece surface.
