Abstract: The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a process that includes defining software travel objects that are configurable to represent a variety of types of accommodations used in transportation of passengers, associating the software travel objects with configurable properties that specify accommodation attributes that affect a passenger's experience during travel, and receiving, through a user interface, information used to customize the configurable properties during run-time of a software application that manages travel reservations for accommodations. The process also includes outputting the customized configurable properties for use by a user in a selection of one or more of the accommodations during a travel reservation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for debugging applications on a microkernel without invoking services provided by a particular personality. An application debugger is separated into three distinct pieces consisting of a user interface, debug engine, debug probe (instrumentation server). The user interface supports user inputs and debugger output in a language and platform-independent syntax. The debug engine supports semantics for specific language and target operating environments. The debug probe supports low-level query, access and update of the applications's state. The instrumentation server checks to see if a requested application is in its list of known application tasks. The instrumentation server sets an application into debug mode by either attaching to the application from a list of applications that it has constructed by polling the IBM Microkernel loaders or by having the application launched by a given IBM Microkernel loader.

Abstract: The clearance-free fit for cylindrical mountings, in particular photographic lenses, is produced by recesses in the inner wall of a main mounting and projections in the outer wall of an individual mounting, to be fastened in the main mounting by inserting and by a relative rotary movement between the two mountings. The recesses and the projections are of such a configuration that a sufficiently large clearance s is present when the individual mounting is inserted, and this clearance is removed by turning to produce a frictional connection.
