  • Patent number: 7681820
Abstract: A method for the disintegration and tribochemical activation of especially inorganic materials having a crystalline structure, wherein the starting materials are comminuted (disintegrated) to a particle size of less than 1 ?m by the effect of impacting pressure fronts at a pulse duration of less that 10 ?s and a sequence frequency of more than 8 kHz. A conglomerate of activated mixed crystals is then obtained having an increased aptitude for the formation of modified crystals when water is added. The duration of the effect of the impacting pressure fronts continues until the crystal lattice structure of the particles is destroyed. A device for the disintegration and tribochemical activation of said materials is based on rotating disks whereon molded bodies with aerodynamic profiles are arranged, the molded bodies being continuously displaced in a transonic speed range and impacting pressure fronts being produced on the outflow surfaces thereof.

A conglomerate of activated mixed crystals is then obtained. Said conglomerate has an increased aptitude for the formation of modified crystals when water is added. The duration of the effect of the impacting pressure fronts continues until the crystal lattice structure of the particles (30) is destroyed. A device for the disintegration and tribochemical activation of said materials is based on rotating disks whereon molded bodies with aerodynamical profiles are arranged, said molded bodies being continuously displaced in a transonic speed range and impacting pressure fronts being produced on the outflow surfaces thereof.

  • Patent number: 4060710
Abstract: A rigid electrical heating element having a thin, rigid, electrically insulating, air-impervious layer and a thick, insulating polyurethane layer formed in situ connected to said rigid layer by a conducting film based upon a synthetic resin, electrically conducting particles and potassium silicate or sodium silicate. Electrodes and corresponding electrical connections are mounted on the film after it has been applied by deposition of an aqueous plastic dispersion of said resin particles and silicate material. The silicates being present in the heating film in sufficient quantity to protect the heating film from attack by the starting reaction components of the polyurethane layer. The rigid layer may be a synthetic resin panel having a decorative heat irradiating surface.

  • Patent number: 3960071
Abstract: A refuse compactor, particularly for household refuse, has an upwardly open container mounted in a supporting frame and a pressure platen movable into and out of the container. A parallelogram drive for the platen is provided and includes a horizontal guide, a carriage which is movable along the guide, at least two pair of levers mounted for pivoting about a common pivot axis and each having ends connected to the platen and to the carriage respectively, a screw spindle connected with the carriage and with a motor so as to effect shifting of the carriage when it is rotated by the motor, and reinforcing members which connect at least two of the levers to form a structural unit. A traverse member is mounted in the frame above the platen remote from the motor, and a pair of guide levers is provided, each having one end pivoted to one of the levers of one pair, and another end connected to the traverse member. A bearing journals one end of the screw spindle and the other end is driven by the motor.
