  • Patent number: 4534745
Abstract: A toy vehicle and track assembly is provided for the detonation of toy percussion caps. A striker member is pivotally mounted within a housing that is biased to rotate in a predetermined direction. The striker member is retained by a keeper member than can be selectively released. A door can be connected to the housing for positioning an anvil that is capable of mounting the toy cap within striking movement of the striker member for detonating the cap.

  • Patent number: 4248012
Abstract: A miniature toy steerable car uses the selective direction of rotation of the motor to effectively steer the front wheels of the vehicle. A reversible motor selectively drives one of a pair of rear wheels by means of a gear arrangement and one-way drive mechanisms such that one or the other of the rear wheels of the vehicle acts to drive and propel the vehicle in a forward direction. The motor is coupled with a front wheel steering mechanism which causes the front wheels to turn in one direction when the rotation of the motor is clockwise and causes the front wheels to turn in the other direction when the rotation of the motor is reversed or made to rotate counterclockwise.

  • Patent number: 4237648
Abstract: A toy including a central board with at least one recessed track in the upper surface thereof. The recessed track has an endless belt which in a preferred embodiment may be a thin strip of nylon with teeth extending upwardly therefrom. The strip may be moved in the preferred embodiment by a sprocket acting on holes along the length of the strip. A figure has downwardly-depending prongs which mate with the teeth on the nylon belt so that the figure may be propelled by the movement of the belt. The prongs may be such that they will assume a retracted position within the figure when the figure is placed on a planar surface. The belt may be low friction material (e.g. nylon) and the board may be surfaced with low friction material. The figure may have pivoted legs which brush the board surface causing the legs to swing and simulate a walking motion, and a vehicle may be provided through which the figure projects to contact the belt.

  • Patent number: 4227693
Abstract: A toy racing track having a base and at least one essentially oval track for gravity-impelled toy cars. The oval track being segmented with two end sections at opposite sides of the base. In a preferred embodiment, the end sections are hinged to the base and linkage is provided which may be controlled to cause one section to incline upwardly from the base while the other is caused to incline downwardly.

  • Patent number: 4227339
Abstract: A toy having a generally-cylindrical body with apertures about the circumference of the body at preselected intervals, objects positioned in the apertures on the surface of the body, and a tail which may be rotated. Rotation of the tail drives an interior drum which impels the objects from the apertures.

  • Patent number: 4203247
Abstract: A toy vehicle launcher and a toy vehicle for use therewith is disclosed. The toy vehicle launcher includes first and second spaced, generally parallel sidewalls each having an inner surface and an outer surface. A first and a second spiral retainer member are attached to the inner surfaces of the first and second sidewalls respectively. The second spiral member is opposed to the first spiral retainer member, and is generally parallel thereto throughout its length. Each of the spiral retainer members has a first end near the center of the sidewalls of the toy vehicle launcher and a second end near the periphery of the toy vehicle launcher. One of the sidewalls has an aperture therein near its center through which the toy vehicle to be launched can be placed into contact with the first and second spiral retainer members near their first ends. The toy vehicle launcher also includes a second aperture adjacent the second ends of the spiral retainer members.

  • Patent number: 4124222
Abstract: A novel structure in a scooter type sport vehicle is presented. The vehicle is of the type which includes a supporting frame structure in combination with at least front and back wheels mounted for rotation with respect to said frame to define a wheeled vehicle. A rockable platform for supporting a standing rider is supported pivotably on said frame. The platform includes an extended forward portion so as to make the platform non-symmetrical with respect to the pivot, and the platform may be rocked back and forth on the frame about the pivot point with increased leverage exerted in the forward direction. Driving means responsive to the forward rocking movement of the platform is included for producing a unidirectional turning moment on the real wheel, whereby a rider may shift his weight to forwardly rock the platform and thereby propel the wheeled vehicle forward.

  • Patent number: 4081145
Abstract: A food-cutting machine for slicing, grating or shredding foodstuffs such as fruits, vegetables, meats or cheeses. The device is designed particularly for home kitchen use and features a hollow body or housing, the interior of which is adapted to storage of a set of stacked or nested cutters having blades for producing different cuts in various food items. The housing latches to a suction base by means of a cam lock operated by a lever which also operates the suction disc of the base. When the housing is latched to the base, the base is simultaneously fastened to an appropriate work surface by the suction of the disc. When the lever is raised to unlatch the housing, the suction is released so that the device may be moved to another location.

  • Patent number: 4052105
Abstract: A truck hoist assembly for use in combination with a dump vehicle having a chassis and a dump bed pivotally mounted to the rear of the chassis. A pair of relatively small sized hydraulic cylinders are pivotally connected adjacent the rear pivot of the dump bed, the distal ends of which are pivotally connected to an end of an elongated main lever. The other end of the main lever is pivotally connected to an elongated linkage assembly whose distal ends are, in turn, pivoted to the underside of the dump bed at a distance somewhat forwardly of a rear axle of the truck. The main lever is pivotally connected to the chassis at a fulcrum point which is substantially horizontally aligned with the dump bed pivot points when the bed is in its horizontal or down position. The assembly provides improved lifting leverage through the complete cycle of the hoist, especially near the top of the stoke, which in turn enables smaller and more economical hydraulic cylinders to be utilized.

  • Patent number: 3931973
Abstract: A game of skill including a frame for supporting a game board having a plurality of ball-receiving pockets located about the periphery thereof and formed in the supporting frame of the game board. A ball-propelling mechanism including a base and a swingably mounted impact member is movable about the game board to propel a cue ball to impact with object balls. The base includes symmetrically-disposed recesses for receiving the cue ball so that it may be automatically aligned with the impact member. The ball-propelling mechanism is also provided with a sighting edge so that the impact member and cue ball may be properly aligned with an object ball. The supporting frame of the game board also includes rebound bumpers and a bumper mounting system which provides an enhanced rebound action to the playing balls.
