  • Patent number: 4935033
Abstract: Natural polyamide fibres, in particular wool, are dyed by means of reactive dyes using the exhaust method in the presence of a dyeing assistant consisting of a combination of (a) quaternized ammonium compounds of polyglycol compounds and (b) of acidic esters or salts thereof derived from at least dibasic oxyacids and from polyglycol compounds, both the quaternary ammonium compounds and the acidic esters being derived from an aliphatic amine having 12 to 24 carbon atoms in the aliphatic moiety. The process comprises carrying out the dyeing in the additional presence of (c) a fatty alcohol/polyalkylene glycol ether of the formulaR-O-(alkylene-O.sub.m H (1)in which R is an aliphatic radical having at least 8 carbon atoms, "alkylene" is an ethylene radical or propylene radical and m is 3 to 25.

  • Patent number: 4818248
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide fibre material from an aqueous liquor with dyes, in the presence of an alkali metal salt or an ammonium salt and in the presence of an assistant, which process comprises dyeing said fibre material with at least one sulfonated 1:1 metal complex dye or with a mixture containing at least one sulfonated 1:1 metal complex dye and at least one sulfonated metal-free dye, in the presence of 10 to 45 percent by weight of an alkali fluorosilicate or ammonium fluorosilicate or a mixture thereof, based on the amount of the 1:1 metal complex dye employed, and in the presence of an assistant at a pH value of 3 to 5.The process of the invention is suitable for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide materials to give non-skittery and level dyeings of good fastness properties.

    Inventors: Gerhard Back, Walter Mosimann
  • Patent number: 4681596
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide fibre material levelly from an aqueous liquor, with 1:1 metal complex dyes and at least one metal free dye, all of which contain sulfo groups, in the presence of an alkali metal salt or an ammonium salt and optionally in the presence of an assistant, which comprises carrying out dyeing in the presence of an alkali metal fluoride or ammonium fluoride, or an alkali metal fluorosilicate or ammonium fluorosilicate, or of an alkali metal fluoroborate or ammonium fluoroborate, at a pH in the range from 3 to 7.The process of this invention is suitable for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamide material in level shades of good fastness properties.

  • Patent number: 4155707
Abstract: A wet transfer process for dyeing and printing synthetic and natural nitrogenous material by applying to an inert support a printing ink which contains at least one dye and/or fluorescent brightening agent, a binder or thickener, water and/or an organic solvent, and drying said ink, then bringing the treated side of the support into contact with the surface of the material to be dyed which has been pretreated with an aqueous solution or emulsion, subsequently subjecting support and material, with or without mechanical pressure, to a heat treatment of 100.degree. to 130.degree. C., preferably 105.degree. to 120.degree. C.
