  • Patent number: 8096099
Abstract: A torque head assembly and method of capping effective to cap a variety of trigger spray cap bases or common caps to a spray bottle or container includes a drive roller mounted on a drive gear. The drive gear is in meshed gear communication with a plurality of train gears enclosed within a generally C-shaped driver housing wherein the a distal train gear engages a driven gear upon which a driven roller is mounted. An actuator allows the driver housing of torque head assembly to approach a variety of trigger spray cap bases or common caps within a plane generally horizontal thereto and at least partially co-planar therewith so as to capture the same between the dive roller and the driven roller and to thread mount the same onto the spray bottle or container.

  • Patent number: 6994003
Abstract: A load cell deflasher for the punch and die deflash processing of product from an extrusion includes a load cell pressure transducer interconnected with a punch to sense pressure measurements of the punch against the extrusion at the die and communicate the measurements to a programmable logic controller that controls the extension and retraction of the punch to the die and the structure accommodating pre-punch alignment of the extrusion to the die. The pressure measurements are logged in a trending database of the programmable logic controller. If a pressure measurement exceeds a threshold value, to programmable logic controller can command instruct a positioning actuator of the punch to abort its punch stroke prior to completion.

  • Patent number: 6579079
Abstract: A rotary valve, a piston pump rotary valve assembly and a piston pump rotary valve assembly tank dispenser for use in discharging a metered amount of liquid, gel, or slurry has a valve body having a first channel pathway and a second channel pathway. The first channel pathway has an inlet opening to receive a liquid, gel, or slurry and an outlet opening to provide the same to a pathway of the piston pump assembly. The second channel pathway is segregated from the first channel pathway and includes a plurality of inlet openings, each capable of communicative alignment with the pathway of the piston pump assembly, and at least one outlet opening communicative with such inlet openings. The valve body is capable of rotation with respect to the piston pump assembly to dispose both the first channel pathway and the second channel pathway each to two operative positions to receive the liquid, gel, or slurry and to two inoperative positions blocking fluid communication with the liquid, gel, or slurry.

  • Patent number: 5323527
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for use in the fabrication of an electrical chemical cell having a spiral wound core. An anode plate and a first separator sheet are Juxtaposed in an adjacent relationship and restrained against relative lengthwise displacement. A cathode plate is Juxtaposed with a second separator sheet in an adjacent relationship and also restrained against relative lengthwise displacement. Portions of the first and second separator sheets are overlapped and restrained against relative movement while the restrained overlapping end portions are rotated Continuously about an axis so as to wind the plates and separator sheets into a coiled core which can be inserted into an electrochemical cell casing. The apparatus includes a vacuum holding member for holding the anode plate and first separator sheet together, and includes a vacuum holding member for holding the cathode place and second separator sheet together.
