Abstract: An injection molded front section of a cervical collar having a chin support attached thereto along an upper edge portion opposite a lower padded edge portion, is adjustably positioned on a patient by a flexible strap underlying a back section releasably locked in overlapping relation to padded end portions of the front section. A stabilizing contact section is attached to the back section and projects from its upper edge portion to stabilize support of the collar on a patient in its adjusted position. The front and back sections of the collar are color coded during formation in accordance with size and corresponding thickness determined to provide optimum stiffness accommodating bending of the collar during installation and orthopedic support once applied.
