The method includes identifying an installed unit prior to an initialization of an operating system and obtaining information about the installed unit, wherein the information comprises a regulatory identification number, a manufacturer's logo, or a combination thereof. The method also includes receiving a request to provide information about the installed unit and providing the information about the installed unit.
