    Abstract: A patient transport body and head restraint device and method for securing a patient to a trauma board. The body restraint device includes an assembly comprising two primary straps and a secondary strap where each primary strap is positioned along a side of the trauma board. The primary straps are drawn together by the secondary strap. The patient's head is restrained by a headrest and hold-down member which restrains the head while allowing access to a patient's head, eye and nose areas.
