  • Publication number: 20210177897
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for treating cancer, including haematological and solid tumors. In an embodiment, the method comprises impairing arginase activity and/or expression in immune cells, in particular T cells of a patient suffering from cancer. Arginase expression may be impaired by mutation (including deletion or truncation) of the arginase encoding gene, by RNA interference or by administration of an arginase inhibitor. In a preferred embodiment, the T cells are modified in the frame of CAR (Chimeric Antigen Receptor) therapy. The invention also provides a method of treatment combining impaired arginase activity with antibody-mediated blockage of negative immune checkpoint regulators (PDLL-PD1 and B7-CTLA4 inhibitory pathways).

  • Patent number: 8696734
Abstract: A radially expandable system for the usage in body tubes is kept, by fixation of a first part and a second part relative to each other, in a second state in which the system exhibits a larger diameter compared to a first state. The fixation of the first part relative to the second part is performed by an adhesive. With the radially expandable system a body tube, for example a vein, can be assisted in its function. • Patent number: 4635331
Abstract: A method for the production of a guide rail for linear guiding and having a hardened rolling body race groove on opposite sides of the guide rail. In order to minimize production costs and avoid cutting of the race grooves, the race grooves are initially spaced at a distance that is greater or smaller than their finally desired value, by an incremental distance. Grooves are provided centrally in the guide rail between the opposed race grooves, and the race rail is then hardened except in the region of the central grooves. Compression rollers in the race grooves or central grooves are then forced into the guide rail to decrease or increase respectively the distance between the race grooves until the desired distance therebetween is obtained. The method can also be employed when only a single race groove is provided on the rail.
