  • Patent number: 4838144
Abstract: A turret gun assembly includes a turret, a gun having a barrel being adjustable in inclination about a trunnion axis, a magazine for accommodating rounds of ammunition, and a loading device for advancing rounds of ammunition from the magazine into a position behind the barrel in a longitudinal alignment therewith. The improvement wherein the loading device has a cam drive having a cam track mounted at an ammunition discharge location of the magazine and a follower guided in the cam track; a transfer arm mounted for pivotal motion about the trunnion axis; an ammunition-gripping holding clamp articulated to the transfer arm by a hinge connection and being arranged for gripping said ammunition.

  • Patent number: 4770024
Abstract: An arrangement for manufacturing pressed shapes and similar structures in which loading and unloading arms are driven by displacement drive mechanisms. These displacement drive mechanisms have at least two displacement cylinders with strokes that are shorter than either the displacement path of the loading arm or the displacement path of the unloading arm. There is no force transmission from the cylinders to the loading and unloading arms to provide for minimum use of driving power during acceleration intervals when the loading and unloading arms move from a stationary position to a displacement speed.

  • Patent number: 4565517
Abstract: An hydraulic press for pressing plastic mats reinforced with glass fibers into formed parts, which press has a stationary and a slidable cross-piece as well as a press drive which drive for driving the slidable cross-piece has at least one adjusting cylinder with a stroke length corresponding to the working range of the press and at least two couplable press cylinders of short stroke wherein for coupling each press cylinder to the slidable cross-piece a coupling rod and a clamping means is provided, the press being distinguished in that in order to better accomodate incorporation of the press drive into an existing press, each press cylinder has a hollow lifting body through which an associated coupling rod is guided, and for coupling the lifting body to the associated coupling rod a clamping device is included on the lifting body.

  • Patent number: 4562768
Abstract: An empty belt clip and empty cartridge casing discharge arrangement for use with a machine cannon which can, for example, be mounted in the gun turret of an armored vehicle. The arrangement includes a cradle and built-in gun barrel which is pivotally mounted in a gun mount about an axis which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the gun barrel for control purposes. An alternate ammunition belt feeder is also pivotally mounted in the gun mount about a second axis which is also parallel to the longitudinal axis of the gun barrel and is adapted to assume an upper or lower operative position or a middle SAFETY position. The alternate ammunition belt feeder has an upper and lower outlet for empty belt clips. An upper and lower discharge duct are mounted in the arrangement so that their respective inlets confront the upper and lower outlets of the alternate ammunition belt feeder. A middle duct serves to receive the empty cartridge casings from the cradle.

  • Patent number: 4453435
Abstract: A tool support for turning annular grooves of inwardly increasing cross-section in workpieces, has a carrier, a tool clamping rod rotatably and axially shiftable in the carrier, and machining tools carried by the rod and having an effective length which is shorter than the cross-sectional opening of the groove at the workpiece surface.
