  • Patent number: 4485613
Abstract: An apparatus for producing tubular-pouch packages with heat-sealed transverse seams. In order that the bottom seam will harden rapidly following the securing process, a cooling medium is blown onto it by a nozzle. The nozzle is disposed in the tubular body from which tubular-pouch packages are made and is directed at the pressing plane of the transverse-seam welding apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4420355
Abstract: An applicator head is disclosed which accumulates, feeds, cuts and presents a preselected length of ribbon-like material. A first pneumatic cylinder is connected to a pivoting arm which controls accumulation and feeding steps, while a second pneumatic cylinder operates an applicator arm, to cut and present the material. The connection of the pivoting arm, relative to the first cylinder, determines the length of the cut material or ribbon segment.

  • Patent number: 4385670
Abstract: A method for measuring out and filling of pourable goods into packaging containers and an apparatus which functions according to this method are proposed. In order to attain high filling output especially in the case of voluminous goods, or goods having a low specific weight, a feeding apparatus for the packaging containers is assigned one after another a plurality of weighing devices each having one dispensing device. The weight values of the first partial quantities measured out and filled into the packaging containers are added up in a computer (S I-S II, .SIGMA.I+II-.SIGMA.I+II+III), which directs the last dispensing device to furnish the remaining deficient quantity.

  • Patent number: 4290253
Abstract: Method of manufacturing a filled packaging container comprising the steps of forming a bag on a mandrel, connecting a seam provided in a formed bag, forming a hole on an upper side of the bag and inserting a valve into the hole to provide an air pressure release after filling the container with a material. Two opposite edges of the valve are formed with two flexible portions made of foil. A sealing fluid is applied in the channel to provide a fluid film to connect the foil portions.
