  • Publication number: 20150298601
Abstract: A vehicle glazing having a pane, a light-conducting layer, a refractive layer, and a light source. The light conducting layer is configured to conduct light coupled at its end side and has decoupling means, via which a light exit of conducted light is caused at least on one of its main surfaces. The light-conducting layer is materially bonded to the pane. The refractive layer is arranged between the pane and the light-conducting layer, has a lower index of refraction than the light-conducting layer, and is simultaneously implemented as a lamination layer. The light source is arranged such that light is coupled in at least one end side of the light-conducting layer.

  • Patent number: 7731275
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle roof with a roof opening with a flange surrounding the roof opening, on which a roof module with a roof frame comprising at least one frame member can be inserted through the roof opening from above, with guide rails arranged on the roof frame and with at least one roof section supported on these guide rails can be attached. The invention teaches that the roof frame is provided with a sealing frame which surrounds all sides of the roof opening which can be attached onto the flange from above, on which the guide rails and the frame members are attached, and which is sealed by means of at least one seal against the flange, and that furthermore mounting elements are provided through which the guide rails on the underside of the flange can be connected to it.

  • Patent number: 7264307
Abstract: A motor vehicle component with a guide rail structure (15) which is located at least partially on a sectional part (20) which forms the bearing structure of the vehicle component. To simplify the guide rail structure (15) and make it cheaper, it is provided that the sectional part (20) forms only one part (22) of the guide rail structure (15) and the other part (32) of the guide rail structure (15) is formed by a second sectional part (30) which can be connected to the first sectional part (20). The divided execution makes it possible to form, much more easily, the guideways (24, 25, 26; 33, 34) and cable channels (91) which must otherwise be produced in a complex manner as undercut sectional parts.

  • Patent number: 6652022
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof (1) with a front cover (2) a rear edge that is pivotally supported on a slide element (6) which can be moved along a guide (7), and with a rear cover (3) which borders the front cover (2) and which has a rear edge which is pivotally mounted. A high degree of flexibility in the opening possibilities with simultaneously stable guidance of the covers (2, 3) is achieved by the rear cover (3) having guides (11) for guiding the rear slide element (8) of the front cover (2) when the front cover is slid rearward.

  • Patent number: 4709959
Abstract: Sliding and lifting roof for vehicles having a rigid cover, which in a closed position closes a roof opening in a fixed roof surface, and therefrom, can be selectively tilted upwardly so as to raise its rear edge above the fixed roof surface, or lowered and displaced below the fixed roof surface. A frame encircling at least part of the roof opening forms a rain gutter extending below both sides of the roof opening. Strip-shaped shield elements are attached at both sides of the cover, essentially perpendicular to the cover surface, and substantially flush with its lateral edges. The shield elements are flexible, at least in the area of their lower edges, and are fixedly connected with the cover along their upper edges. In the raised position of the cover, at least a major extent of the length of the shield elements will bear laterally against the lateral edges of the roof opening.

  • Patent number: 4699421
Abstract: Sliding and lifting roof for vehicles, having a cover, which in its closed position closes a roof opening, which cover is guided on guide tracks parallel to the side edges of the roof opening, connected with an actuating member by way of a lifting mechanism which is adjustable in a direction relative to the displacement of the cover, and which can be raised above the fixed roof surface by displacing the actuating member, or can be slidably displaced after lowering below the fixed roof surface. The lifting mechanism has a sliding retaining bracket and a lifting lever, that are relatively displaceable by the actuating member. The lifting lever, at one end, is connected with the cover and at an opposite end is pivotably supported about a shaft and is longitudinally and slidably guided by a limited distance in the direction of cover displacement, with respect to the sliding retaining bracket.

  • Patent number: 4664439
Abstract: Sliding and lifting roof for vehicles, having a rigid cover which in its closed position covers a roof opening in a fixed roof surface. The cover is mounted on guide rails extending in a direction parallel to the side edges of the roof opening, and can be selectively tilted so as to lift its rear edge above the fixed roof surface, or rearwardly slidably displaced below the fixed roof surface, after lowering of its rear end below the fixed roof surface. A vertically adjustable rain gutter is provided which is elevated when the cover is in its tilted and close positions, which rain gutter underlies the rear edge of the roof opening and, upon lowering, can be rearwardly displaced together with the cover. The rain gutter is connected with a tilting device which, when the cover is raised, causes the rain gutter to assume an inclined position such that the forward edge of the rain gutter forms a splashboard which projects upwardly above the rear edge of the roof opening.
