  • Patent number: 4229021
Abstract: A motor vehicle encompassing a chassis which includes a front and rear axle and a vehicle body which is supported upon the chassis by at least two connecting parts in such manner that the body may move in a translatory manner with respect to the chassis while being capable of pivoting about an axis located in the driving direction. Additionally, the support of at least one of each wheels springs is coordinated between the corresponding axle and the vehicle body. The connecting part includes a support column which, at its upper end, is elastically connected to the vehicle body by a substantially central bearing support and, at its lower end, is supported upon the chassis by several bearing supports.

  • Patent number: 4218672
Abstract: An installation in a vehicle for indicating the load distribution and for warning against overloads with load-value transmitters coordinated to the vehicle axles; in which a first load-value transmitter coordinated with a vehicle axle for respective lateral sides of the vehicle includes a load-dependent threshold switch whereby the two threshold switches connect the positive terminal of the battery by way of the ignition lock with a filter, and the filter output is connected with a switching device which turns on the load-distribution indication and/or the overload warning.

  • Patent number: 4207998
Abstract: A vacuum roller assembly for feeding sheet material such as finishing paper, carton, foil and the like, wherein a resilient roller shell is provided with a plurality of suction ports for drawing the sheet material into non-slip contact with the roller assembly. A plurality of deformable slit-like openings extend into the resilient shell, with the slits being in vacuum communication with the suction ports to provide a suction network over the roller and adaptable for providing suction to only that portion of the vacuum roller in contact with the sheet material.

  • Patent number: 4201418
Abstract: An anchoring arrangement of an end point or deflection point of a safety belt, especially in motor vehicles, under interposition of a spring at a fixed vehicle part; the spring is installed prestressed in the sense of a tightening of the belt band and is blocked in the normal driving operation in this position while the blocking is released by a force peak exceeding the prestress force of the spring which occurs at the beginning of an accident at the belt band.

  • Patent number: 4182190
Abstract: A method and apparatus for simulating dynamic loads in structural parts, especially in motor vehicle bodies, with an introduction of tensional compressive and torsional forces longitudinally, transversely, and vertically to the driving direction; at least for one introduced force, the low frequency component of the signal is separated off, is transformed sectionwise to higher frequencies and is then added, shifted with respect to time, to the structural part to be loaded.

  • Patent number: 4108166
Abstract: The specification describes a cardiac frequency measuring instrument which has a frequency measuring device to be carried on the arm of a user. A cable connects the measuring instrument with measuring electrodes carried on the body and with an optical display for the measured heart frequency. There is a miniaturized digital circuit accommodated in the housing having the size of a wrist watch with a minimum electrical power* for the digital measurement and display of the cardiac frequency. Use is made of a resonant amplifier, connected as a high pass filter, for suppressing the amplification and display of motional artefacts.

  • Patent number: 4099792
Abstract: Wheel brake apparatus including a brake lining which is moveable into and out of engagement with a brake drum or break disk of a vehicle wheel to be braked. A measuring element is provided for detecting relative movement between the brake lining and the drum or disk. The brake lining is moved by way of a wheel brake piston acted upon by a pressure medium. In order to prevent a lock up of the brake, a controller piston is provided for controlling pressure medium flow to the brake piston in response to the detection of no relative movement between the brake lining and the brake disk or drum, which in turn corresponds to a complete braking action. In preferred embodiments, the controller piston controls a vent line communicating with the front and back of a braking control piston interposed between a master cylinder and the brake lining.

  • Patent number: 4093255
Abstract: A passenger motor vehicle with a lower portion that includes a front axle and a rear axle non-yieldingly interconnected with each other at least in the vehicle longitudinal direction, and an upper portion separate from the lower portion and including at least the passenger space, which is pivotal with respect to the lower portion at least in relation to an axis of instantaneous rotation extending in the vehicle transverse direction; the upper and lower portions are thereby connected with each other within the area of their axles by way of at least one support which has an elastic yieldingness in at least one direction.

  • Patent number: 4045052
Abstract: A passenger motor vehicle with a vehicle body means and with two axles carrying the body, and in which the body is supported with respect to at least one of the two axles by way of elastic axle guide elements and is rotatable at least with respect to this one axle about an axis of instantaneous rotation extending generally in the vehicle longitudinal direction and disposed at least approximately at the height of its center of gravity; the axle guide elements thereby form simultaneously spring elements for the vertical spring system of this one axle while the axle guide elements are of such construction that the vehicle body is transversely displaceable in a translatory manner with respect to this axle.

  • Patent number: 3961400
Abstract: A perforated drum drier with a first lower inlet opening in a rear wall of a drier housing for feeding a tubular knit fabric to a first drum in the housing, and with a substantially horizontal stentering chain mechanism extending through a second upper inlet opening into the housing to a front guide roller for the two pin-studded stentering chains, the axis of which is located slightly ahead of a vertical plane extending through the axis of the first drum, and so far above the first drum that the parts of the lower stringers of the chains adjacent to the front guide roller are substantially in horizontal alignment with the top of the first drum so that an open fabric will be removed from the pins of the chains by its own gravity and by the suction of the first drum and be transferred simultaneously to this drum. The stentering mechanism is located so highly from the floor that an operator can stand underneath it.
