  • Publication number: 20070291742
Abstract: In a method for configuring a device with a DHCP protocol, wherein the device is in communication with an access server via a PPPoE protocol, a session is started by the access server. An IP address is assigned to the device. A previously unknown IP address of a DHCP server is transmitted to the device, wherein the DHCP server provides for a DHCP service and a DNS service. An IP address of the DNS service is equated with the IP address of the DHCP server. A directed DHCP request is sent from the device to the IP address for the DNS service.

  • Patent number: 4037967
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously measuring the density of a liquid within prespecified limits, utilizing the law of refraction, particularly an apparatus for measuring the acid density of a motor vehicle storage battery for the purpose of determining its state of charge. The apparatus has an optical system with a photosensitive element and a light transmissive body with a measuring surface which is in contact with the liquid, and with a light source which illuminates the measuring surface. The light source has an illuminated surface with a non-directional transmission. The illuminated surface facing the measuring surface is spaced therefrom. The illuminating surface together with said measuring surface define an open container filled with the said liquid. A frosted glass disc illuminated by a lamp forms the illuminated surface. The optical system contains a convergent lens whose main plane, together with the measuring surface encloses a precisely defined acute angle.

  • Patent number: 3977275
Abstract: A gear mechanism for transmission of small forces, such as in a hand mechanism gear for clocks or watches which has a driving shaft, a driven shaft coaxial thereto, two gearwheels developed as crown wheels, mounted coaxially engaging each other over a small portion of their circumferences and having each a different number of teeth, one of these gearwheels being stationary and the other rotary. A coupling means such as a clutch is fastened to the driving shaft for rotation therewith. The clutch and the two gearwheels are mounted in relation to each other in such a manner that when the clutch rotates with the driving shaft, the rotary gearwheel resting on the driven shaft, while itself rotating, rolls off on the stationary gearwheel.

  • Patent number: 3977790
Abstract: An apparatus for continuous measurements of the density of variegated liquids, utilizing the angular displacement of the limiting angle at total reflection. Among other purposes the apparatus is useful for measurements of the acid concentration of liquids, such as in a storage battery in a motor vehicle to determine the state of charge of the battery. The apparatus comprises a light rod, in which the end to be immersed in the liquid is provided with a measuring surface and preferably also with a deflecting surface, a light source emitting a bundle of rays into the rod toward the measuring surface at a given divergent angle and a light-sensitive element positioned in the path of rays.

  • Patent number: 3932038
Abstract: An apparatus for continuous measurement of the density of a liquid within prespecified limits, by utilization of the law of refraction, particularly for the continuous measurement of acid density of a storage battery of a motor vehicle for the purpose of determining the state of charge of the battery. The apparatus is equipped with a photoconductive rod, a light source which radiates a pencil of parallel or nearly parallel rays into the rod toward a measuring surface, located at the end of the rod immersed in the liquid. The surface is struck by the pencil of rays at an angle with respect to the surface that equals at most the total reflection angle occurring at the lower limit of liquid density. A photosensitive element is located in the path of the ray pencil opposite a surface deflecting the pencil of rays, which is refracted by the measuring surface into the liquid.
