  • Patent number: 4892260
Abstract: A knife roller used in an appliance for the precomminution of frozen blocks of material, such as frozen meat, having a roller member on which is fastened at least one cutting member. The cutting member has a U-shaped bow knife formed by a shearing knife and two precutters for cutting strips of material from the frozen blocks. The shearing knife and precutters define a chip passageway in which at least one transverse knife is secured for further cutting the strips of material into smaller chips of material.

  • Patent number: 4798114
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting meat blocks which includes a main blade to cut slices from a meat block and transverse blades to divide the slice into strips. The blades are mounted on a cutting unit which may be driven to reciprocate relative to a stationary meat block support. The latter includes a slice support structure that extends outwardly beneath the cutting unit in a comb-like configuration. The cutting unit carries a horizontally adjustable stop assembly having stop elements which fit and reciprocate within the gaps formed in the slice support. This configuration permits the smooth and stepless adjustment of the slice thickness without the necessity of disassembling any parts.

  • Patent number: 4638697
Abstract: A machine for cutting slabs of frozen meat into cubes comprises a rotating cutting drum having alternatingly disposed slitting discs and knife discs. The slitting discs have a contour to minimize the risk of fracturing upon penetration into the meat in that the slicing edge thereof extends over a substantial portion of their circumference and slices the slab into a plurality of strips which are cut into cubes by the knife discs.

  • Patent number: 4165045
Abstract: A machine for cutting blocks of frozen meat wherein the meat blocks are pushed in contact with a cutter drum or under a knife bar by means of a pusher provided with a rearwardly extending plate, a desk covering the plate in its position remote from the cutter drum or knife bar, the plate forming an intermediate support for meat blocks during the forward movement of the pusher.
