  • Patent number: 5529364
Abstract: In a motor vehicle seat with vertical and longitudinal adjustment, a holder (9) is guided by guide rods (7; 8) which can pivot in parallel and are pivotally connected to pivot points (5; 6) which are rigidly fixed to the car body. The holder (9) supports two short guide rods (21; 23), the other ends of which are, in each case, pivotally connected to two further long guide rods (13; 19). The upper ends (12; 25) of the long guide rods (13; 19) are, in turn, pivotally connected to the seat frame (3) and the bottom ends (15; 18) are directed in an upward direction. The short guide rods (21; 23) are pivotally connected between the ends of the long guide rods (13; 19).

  • Patent number: 5230311
Abstract: The invention relates to a mass compensator for an internal combustion piston engine with three banks of four cylinders and a crankshaft with four crank pins on each of which operates one connecting rod of each bank of cylinders, whereby to compensate the especially second-order mass forces and moments, compensating shafts bearing balance weights are fitted which are driven in opposite directions at twice the crankshaft speed and whose axis of rotation co-ordinates to the crankshaft axis substantially meet the conditions below:y.sub.2 =-2y.sub.1 and x.sub.2 ==2x.sub.1.

  • Patent number: 4712780
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydropneumatic spring suspension or shock absorber device, in particular for heavy motor vehicles, which a spring element comprising a housing for a spring bellows filled with a hydraulic medium which is in flow connection with a chamber filled with hydraulic fluid and in which a pneumatic spring is disposed which is deformable under hydraulic pressure, one end of the bellows being supported in the housing and medium being admitted at the other end via an abutment connected with one of the parts. In accordance with the invention, a compact low wear-and-tear spring suspension device is obtained in that the bellows is bent into a substantially circular arc shape and the abutment is movable along the circular arc.

  • Patent number: 4693492
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydropneumatic suspension system for a tracked-vehicle chassis component, having a circular-arc suspension member fitted within a housing. This circular-arc suspension member is located between a support fixed on the housing and a rotating abutment. The housing is hinged on pivot points by means of a suspension arm fixed on the housing and the abutment by means of a hinging lever. Very little space is provided for the suspension of chassis components in such vehicles. Moreover, the suspension system must also be maintenance-free and easy to assemble.
