    Abstract: A floor-supported partition system includes at least one support pole having an upper end mechanically connected to at least one trolley and a lower end attached to a weight bearing member. A partition is attached to the support pole so that the partition and support pole move in unison. The trolley travels along a channel fixed to the ceiling. The weight bearing member is capable of moving along the floor while transferring the weight of the partition system to the floor.
