    Abstract: A system and method for simulating a transportation network is disclosed herein. A simulation may be configured at a configuration application, which enables designers and hyperloop operators to enter real-world constraints as alignment data. A plurality of travel scenarios may be run in order to generate simulated run results. An analytics engine may perform analysis on the simulated run results in order to inform designers and hyperloop operators seeking to improve the transportation network. A prediction modeler may be utilized to predict events occurring in the transportation network as simulated. Parallel processing may be utilized to increase the efficiency and speed of the simulation. The simulation may be performed before, during, and after the implementation of the transportation network.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system in response to a request to back up a virtual machine to a backup storage system, generates a snapshot of the virtual machine. The system identifies one or more files within the snapshot that satisfy a predetermined criterion. If the one or more files are identified, the storage system backs up a modified representation of the snapshot by, analyzing the snapshot to determine addresses of the identified one or more files within the snapshot, and substituting content of the identified one or more files at the addresses with a predetermined data pattern. The system deduplicates the modified representation of the snapshot to remove duplicated data segments and copies data segments of the modified representation of the snapshot to the backup storage system such that data segments to be copied to the backup storage system is minimized.

The caching layer forms a data portion denoting data stored at a logical address subrange of the logical device. The logical address subrange includes the target location. The data portion includes the first data and zeroes stored at remaining locations of the logical address subrange not including user data. The data portion is stored in cache by the caching layer.

The bushing comprising a lower rounded surface for mating with the spherical surface and flats of the upper head portion to restrict the angular movement of the bone screw. The coupled bone screw and bushing are inserted into the housing in a first orientation and then rotated to a second orientation to secure the coupled bone screw and bushing to complete the housing.
