  • Patent number: 6915904
Abstract: A tray for use in order-picking system is presented. The tray includes a base part on which order-picking articles (for example retail articles) can be stored, a frame which is attached to the base parts, and a sliding part for displacing the order-picking articles in the direction of a removal position of the order-picking articles. It is thus possible to perform the picking operation of one of the articles in an economically-favorable posture irrespective of how full or empty the trays.

  • Patent number: 6880311
Abstract: A stacking aid for stacking goods on a loading aid, such as a pallet, has wall parts surrounding the goods stacked on the loading aid. It is possible to alter the height of at least one of the wall parts and to remove the stacking aid from the loading aid after completion of the stacking procedure. A method for stacking goods on a loading aid, such as a pallet, with the aid of the stacking aid entails (a) obtaining a stacking aid which surrounds a stack of goods on the loading aid, (b) loading the loading aid with goods by using the stacking aid, and (c) lifting the loading aid relative to the stacking. The stack of goods lifted out of the stacking aid are wrapped for stabilization. The invention makes it possible to efficiently secure the stack of goods on the pallet during the commissioning through the removable stacking aid and during the subsequent transportation of the goods by the stabilizing the goods, for instance with a film.

  • Patent number: 6817824
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for picking articles situated on retrieval pallets (38) in a pallet rack (52), characterized by a vehicle (10) capable of travelling along the picking front of the pallet rack (52) and having a first lifting device (14) with a height-adjustable picker-carrying device (26) for the picker (18) and having a second lifting device (16) with a height-adjustable pallet-carrying device (28) for an order pallet (20), wherein the picker-carrying device and the pallet-carrying device are positionable heightwise relative to the respective retrieval position independently of one another. The picker situated on the picker-carrying device may therefore be transported along the picking front by means of the vehicle. The two independently operating lifting devices of the vehicles make it possible to achieve the, in each case, ergonomically most advantageous retrieval height and delivery height for the picker-carrying device and the pallet-carrying device respectively.

  • Publication number: 20040193311
Abstract: An automated storage system for storing and picking articles delivered on incoming load carriers such as pallets comprises a device (depalletizer) for separating the article packing units, a tray storage facility (130) for storing the packing units (15) on trays (10), a take-off conveying system (42, 45, 135) for removing and feeding the packing units (15) in sequence for loading onto order load carriers, and a loading station (140) for loading the packing units (15) in a defined loading sequence onto order load carriers (20) for dispatch e.g. by lorry. The invention enables fully mechanized and automated storage and picking of the articles.

  • Publication number: 20040191049
Abstract: A machine for loading a load carrier (20) such as a pallet with packing units (cardboard boxes, collis etc.), which form a load stack (21) on the load carrier, comprises handling and support means (52-57), by means of which a packing unit (15) to be loaded is supported from below throughout the operation of loading from a feed device (51) onto the load stack. By virtue of the handling and support means the packing unit may be deposited at any selectable spatial position on the load stack. According to the invention it is therefore possible to form an optimized load stack on the load carrier, wherein the packing units are always supported from below, with the result that the loading is not dependent upon the material quality of the packaging of the packing unit.

  • Publication number: 20040018077
Abstract: A stacking aid for stacking goods on a loading aid, such as a pallet, has wall parts (10, 11, 12) surrounding a stack of goods stacked on the loading aid (3), it being possible to alter the height of at least one (10) of the wall parts and to remove the stacking aid from the loading aid again after completion of the goods-stacking procedure. A method for stacking goods (2) on a loading aid, such as in particular a pallet, with the aid of the stacking aid comprises the steps of: (a) placing in readiness a stacking aid (1), which surrounds a stack of goods stacked on the loading aid (3), (b) loading the loading aid (3) with goods (2) with the aid of the stacking aid (1), and (c) lifting the loading aid (3) relative to the stacking aid (1), the stack of goods lifted out of the stacking aid (1) being at the same time continuously wrapped with a stabilising means (31) for stabilisation.

  • Patent number: 5468176
Abstract: A disk-shaped tool bit (8) of an angle grinder has an annular disk-shaped carrier member covered on its radially outer circumferentially extending surface and on its side face surfaces with abrasive grains. A central through opening extending between the side face surfaces (8a, 8b) serves for attaching the tool bit to the angle grinder. The central through opening has a surface extending between the side face surfaces and tapering inwardly from each side face surface toward the axis of the central opening. The inwardly tapering surfaces form engagement surfaces (8c, 8d), at which an attachment element (11) of a receiving device (7) of the angle grinder bears for securing the tool bit in place. The attachment element (11) does not project outwardly from the side face surface (8b) facing outwardly from the angle grinder.
