The method and apparatus for the composting and treatment of food waste in accordance with the present invention can recycle food waste as an organic compost by using wood chips in an eco-friendly manner and convert effluents generated from said food waste into an effluent satisfying water quality suitable for discharging by a combined biological and chemical process.
