  • Patent number: 11597368
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an ESC-integrated regenerative braking system that includes a pedal cylinder unit connected to a reservoir unit to generate a hydraulic pressure by pressing a brake pedal, a motor driven by an electrical signal output in response to a displacement of the brake pedal, a master cylinder unit connected to the pedal cylinder unit to form a hydraulic pressure for braking through a master piston moving by the driving of the motor, a control unit configured to detect a leakage of oil, based on a change in pressure in a hydraulic passage, during single-stage control, two-stage control, single-stage single-acting control, or two-stage single-acting control of the master cylinder unit, and a hydraulic control valve provided in a hydraulic passage for connecting the reservoir unit to a wheel cylinder to brake each wheel, to be opened and closed under control of the control unit.

  • Publication number: 20160121867
Abstract: A control method of an ESC (Electronic Stability Control) apparatus may include: sensing, by a control unit, whether one or more inlet valves (IVs) of a hydraulic modulation unit are opened, through a sensing unit during ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) operation; and increasing an operating current of a motor by a preset reference value when the one or more IVs are opened.

  • Patent number: 8965656
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a motor-driven booster type brake system and method thereof. The brake system includes a pedal force sensor for detecting pedal force of a driver applied to a brake pedal, a master cylinder delivering hydraulic pressure to wheel brakes, a booster delivering multiplied force to the master cylinder using a motor, and an ECU controlling the motor based on a detection value of the pedal force. In the brake system, the ECU controls the motor based on hydraulic pressure delivered from the master cylinder to the wheel brakes if an ABS mode is not activated, and controls the motor by maintaining an electric current input to the motor to be within a preset range of electric current if the ABS mode is activated.
