Abstract: Disclosed is a beam failure recovery method of a base station in a wireless communication system using an RIS. The beam failure recovery method may include configuring a candidate beam set, based on a measured RSRP value in beam sweeping using an antenna, establishing a communication link with a UE through a main beam having the measured RSRP value exceeding a predetermined threshold in the configured candidate beam set, selecting a beam, based on the measured RSRP value, from an SSB to which the main beam belongs and an SSB to which the main beam does not belong when beam failure occurs in the established communication link, and recovering the beam failure with the UE through the selected beam. Accordingly, beam failure recovery may be more effectively performed.

In the method, at least one group chat participant selected from group chat counterparts is designated as a private chat participant, identification information regarding the private chat participant is displayed in a message input window of a group chat window which is commonly used in a group chat and a private chat. Moreover, a group chat participant corresponding to the motion, such as a drag motion or tap motion is designated as a private chat participant, when a drag motion from a chat log of at least one group chat counterpart displayed in a chat log window to the message input window is detected.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing sound in a mobile communication device using a sound output device capable of projecting sound in more than one direction such that a the user can recognize all the sound projected by the sound output unit and in a manner capable of enhancing low frequency sound reproduction. A plurality of air ducts connected to sound emitting ports are provided such that the sound projected in a plurality of directions by a speaker is emitted through the same surface of the device. By providing a curved shape for the air ducts that guide the sound projected in one of the plurality of directions, low frequency sound is filtered and enhanced.
