Patent number: 5433661Abstract: An air conditioner has a flow directing vent comprised of slanted vanes. The vent is driven by a drive mechanism which oscillates the vent about an axis. The drive mechanism includes a motor driven shaft which rotates continuously in one direction, and a mechanism for converting such continuous rotation into oscillation of the vent. The drive connection between the vent and drive mechanism can be manually disconnected by axial displacement of the vent, to enable the rotational position of the vent to be adjusted relative to the drive mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1992Date of Patent: July 18, 1995Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventor: Wan S. Patent number: 5414156Abstract: This invention relates to the process for producing ortho-isopropylated phenol derivatives having following general formula (VIII). ##STR1## (in the above formula, R.sub.1 is a hydrogen or a low alkyl group of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)A process for producing ortho-isopropylated phenol derivatives (VIII) of the present invention is characterized by obtaining position isomer desired by means of Claisen rearrangement of phenyl allyl ether without catalyst in atmosphere, and then obtaining only one isomer by oxidation and reduction of the above-obtained position isomer. According to the present invention, ortho-alkylated phenol derivatives (VIII) having high purity at low temperature and low pressure can be prepared without producing a by-product and requirement of the complicated separation procedure.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 1994Date of Patent: May 9, 1995Assignees: Dong Kook Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Ki-Beom KwonInventors: Jung H. Patent number: 5216894Abstract: A control switch comprises a bellow which contracts and expands pressure of the refrigerant, a lock/unlock member which cooperates with the existence of the pressure of the refrigerant, a spring for forcing the lock/unlock member against the pressure of the bellow, and a rotatable shaft operatively disposed through the lock/unlock member. The lock/unlock member has an unlock slot proximate the bellow, a lock slot distal the bellow, and a tapered transition portion between the unlock slot and the lock slot. The shaft is a polygonal, e.g. hexagonal, which fits into the lock slot when the pressure of the refrigerant is under a predetermined value. The user is made aware of the leakage of the refrigerant by the restriction of the rotation of shaft or a break in the power circuit, or both. This prevents the operation of an inefficient in the air conditioner.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1992Date of Patent: June 8, 1993Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventor: Wan S. Kim
