  • Patent number: 8986206
Abstract: A health care apparatus and method are provided. The apparatus includes: a motion sensing unit; a bio-electric potential sensing unit sensing an electric potential signal of the health examinee corresponding to the sensed result; and an analysis unit analyzing the sensed result. By recognizing a current motion of the examinee and sensing an electric potential signal corresponding to the recognized current motion from the examinee, a more reliable health index of the examinee can be calculated. Even when information on the current motion of the health examinee is not given, the current motion can be recognized by the apparatus and method. Furthermore, since the health examinee is notified of the calculated health index in real time, the health examinee can be informed immediately if the physical condition is in an emergency state. As a result, the examinee can respond quickly to the emergency situation.

  • Publication number: 20080089815
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for maintaining freshness by applying a displacement current. Application of the displacement current to an object of preservation interrupts an ion channel of a living microorganism present in the object of preservation, thereby preventing the microorganism from proliferating and subsequently maintaining the freshness of the object of preservation. The apparatus for maintaining freshness by applying a displacement current includes: a displacement current control unit which regulates the displacement current at less than 1 A and less than 3 GHz; and a displacement current applying unit, comprising a first electrode, and a second electrode which faces the first electrode.

  • Patent number: 7245372
Abstract: An analyzing method and system includes projecting light onto a specimen, detecting an optical spectrum from the specimen, dividing the detected optical spectrum by a predetermined time interval, applying a weighting vector and a gain and offset vector to the divided spectra to generate a resolution vector, quantizing an analog signal of the resolution vector to a digital signal, and applying a synthesis vector to the quantized spectra to restore the quantized spectra to a size of the optical spectrum. A spectrum having a large amplitude difference is temporally divided and is analyzed by applying different resolutions to individual time intervals. Spectral portions of the spectrum having relatively small peak amplitudes are selected as a region of interest (ROI) to be modified.
