Abstract: A card edge connector is provided to accommodate an electric card and electrically connects the electric card with a motherboard. The card edge connector comprises an insulating housing and a pair of latch assemblies which are disposed at two opposite ends of the housing. The insulating housing comprises a slot with a plurality of terminals. Each latch assembly comprises a supporting beam, a fixed metal element and a movable metal element. The fixed metal element and the movable metal element are disposed on two neighboring side surfaces. Each of the fixed metal element and the movable metal element comprises a stopper and a correspondingly extension. When the supporting beams are stretched outwardly to insert the electronic card, the stoppers restrain the movement of the extension parts to prevent the free end of the supporting beams from being over moved.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing heat sink device mainly comprises steps of: positioning a plurality of heat-sinking fins by a holding member after they are arranged and assembled; casting a metallic solution into a die for forming a base; locating lower ends of the heat-sinking fins into the metallic solution; and cooling the metallic solution to form a base which is integrated with the lower ends of the heat-sinking fins. The method can be applied to manufacturing heat sink devices for computers, electronic and machinery devices on which the heat would be accumulated.

Abstract: A heat sink structure comprises: a heat conducting base being provided thereon with a plurality of heat sinking fins arranged longitudinally and transversely to mutually cross each other; with the help of the blowing air blown by an above installed fan, the heat sink can make a fast exchange of the cool air and hot air in the interspace among the heat sinking fins to help dissipate the heat generated by a CPU to the ambient to achieve the fast heat sinking effect. The structure is applied to a heat sink for a computer, an electronic instrument or some other heat generating electric component.

Abstract: A heat-sinking base plate and its manufacturing method, there are a plastic non-metallic substrate and a heat conductive layer; the substrate has thereon a plurality of micro holes, the heat conductive layer contains a layer of metallic heat conductive coating, the heat conductive layer is applied on the outer surface of the substrate and is filled in the micro holes of the substrate, thereby the substrate is heat conductive, so heat energy can be transferred from one side to the other side of the substrate through the heat conductive layer in the micro holes, and the substrate has an excellent heat-sinking effect.

Abstract: A jig for precisely orientating a CPU over a socket of a connector comprises a frame, a limiting portion, an elastic portion and a positioning portion. The frame has an opening. The limiting portion and the elastic portion are formed on the frame. When the CPU is received in the opening, the limiting portion contacts a non-contact surface of the CPU, and the elastic portion presses the sides of the CPU. The positioning portion is formed on the frame and limits the movement of the frame relative to the socket when the CPU is received in the opening and the frame is put on the socket. Therefore, the CPU is precisely positioned over a transmission section of the socket, and a contact surface of the CPU contacts the transmission section of the socket.

Abstract: A card edge connector is provided, and comprises a first insulating housing, a second insulating housing, a pair of latches and a plurality of conductive terminals. The first insulating housing comprises a first elongated base and a pair of supporting beams. Each of the supporting beams comprises a first sliding portion. The second insulating housing comprises a pair of second sliding portions and a second elongated base with a slot and a guiding block. The second sliding portions connect with the first sliding portions. The latches are pivotally connected to the supporting beams respectively. The conductive terminals, comprising a guiding portion and a contact portion, are disposed in and through the first elongated base. When an electronic card is inserted into the slot, the relative sliding between the guiding block and the guiding portion determines if the contact portion is in contact with the electronic card inserted in the slot.
