  • Patent number: 7855614
Abstract: Integrated circuit transmission lines are designed to match elements at opposing ends of the transmission line over a frequency range of interest. By modifying characteristics of the transmission line over the length of the transmission line, from a first end coupled to a first external element to a second end coupled to a second external element, return loss is improved. In various embodiments one or more of the width of the conductors and the distance between adjacent edges of the conductors are modified across the length of the transmission line. In an alternative embodiment, the conductors of the transmission line are segmented with each segment having a length and a width across the segment.

  • Patent number: 7762515
Abstract: The invention discloses an adjustable support apparatus for adjusting an object to a target position. The adjustable support apparatus comprises a metal member, a support member, and a magnetic member. The metal member has an inner space. The support member has a first end and a second end, and is movably disposed in the inner space of the metal member through the first end. The object is attached on the second end. The magnetic member is disposed on the support member and is adjacent to the first end. A magnetic force exists between the magnetic member and the metal member. When an external force capable of overcoming the magnetic force is applied on the object or the support member, the support member moves with respect to the metal member; and when the external force disappears, the magnetic force makes the support member stay at the target position statically.

  • Patent number: 7586743
Abstract: The invention discloses a portable electronic apparatus with an adjustable display panel. The portable electronic apparatus uses a retained portion cooperated with a plurality of retaining portions (like a recess) to support the display panel. Thereby, the display panel of the portable electronic apparatus can be adjusted to a plurality of angles so as to adapt to real conditions, such as angles of light source, operational behaviors of users and the like, which further enhances the utility of the portable electronic apparatus. Furthermore, because the supporting force offered by the retained portion cooperated with the retaining portions is greater than a pressing force generated as a user operates the display panel, the display panel can remain steady when the user operates the display panel.
